  1. C. They were all on the cover of Rolling Stone? Seriously, I don't have a clue!
  2. Ellie Greenwich co-wrote them with Jeff Barry
  3. All three songs were written by the same songwriter? Ellie Greenwich
  4. a - Blind Faith? b - Carole King c - Keith Richards to Ron Wood? I have to leave but wanted to register my guesses and I will check back tonight to see the answers
  5. More than fair, OLD 55! Night Owl had lyrics with the word heart and i interpreted it (to fit the question as a suit of cards!
  6. All had songs about playing cards or hearts (specifically, i think) Queen of Hearts ~ Juice Newton Winner Takes It All - ABBA Night Owl - Little River Band
  7. Hi OLD55 and everyone. i have had much trouble logging on to this board and finally got connected when i am too sleepy to contribute. i hope the glitches are fixed soon Anyway i will go ahead and make a wild guess about the songwriter/producer "My Name's Not Lisa" by waylon jennings
  8. OK - Wild guess before I get too sleepy - "Take a Letter, Maria" but can't remember the artist! :sleepy:
  9. I have not heard that song either but the lyrics are very good and showed promise of things that were not to be. I will never forget where I was and what i was doing when i heard their plane had crashed - just like JFK, RFK, MLK and Elvis. A moment frozen in time.
  10. I'm guessing Buddy Holly because he changed the name to "Peggy Sue" from Cindy Lou or something like that.
  11. I saw a movie of the Temptation's career on VH1 last year and i remembered the part where Smokey gave the song to the Temps. I believe that someone said that the intros to "My Girl" and to "Satisfaction" were the best known in the world. ::
  12. My Girl ~ recorded by the Temptations
  13. Wow - it just goes to show that sometimes your first guess is the right answer. I thought of "Surfin' Bird" last night but I thought for some reason it was from the 70's!
  14. Could it be "Surfin' Bird" by the Trashmen?
  15. Bluesboy, i think you get to do the Rocky impression again!! ::
  16. I think Bluesboy is right with Otis Redding unless OLD55 has a trick up his sleeve
  17. What a drag! The charts in the US did not start until 2 years after I was born. So my life's theme song according to this is "How Do You Mend Broken Heart" Bee Gees - oddly kind of appropriate
  18. Embarrassed I knew that They sang for the Village People
  19. I alos agree with Brad it must be Ray Charles!
  20. Keven, i think you got it!! I am now off to bed so i will check tomorrow!! :sleepy:
