You have great taste in music!! Doobie Brothers are still going strong and touring. They are on a break right now but, will be going on summer tour this month. Every time I see the Doobie Brothers in concert (which is a lot) they get better every show! South City Midnight Lady is usually on the DB set list.

Thanks for the replies guys! Crazy Don your post is what clenched it. I had found out about the Orlons and you confirmed it. It was the Orlons "South Street" and the Dovells "You Can't Sit Down." Both groups were from Philadelphia. Both songs also, have South Street in the words.

Hi guys.... I'm racking my brain trying to figure out the answer to this. My husband came up with some music trivia that he challenged me on and now I have to come up with the answer. Does ANYONE know....... What 2 top 40 songs were the 1st to use the word "Hippies"? There were 2 groups that recorded these songs and they came from the same city. He asked me if I knew which city these 2 groups are from (or started) These groups are from the same city. If anyone has any clues that they can send me it would be greatly appreciated! Thank you!
