Get your cans (headphones), put on 'Dark Side of the Moon', go to very last track (Eclipse) and fast forward near the end (heartbeeps and shortly after the spoken words, "There is no dark side..."). NOW, CRANK IT UP and you'll hear an audio seepage of an instrumental that is NOT by Pink Floyd!! A long time ago, I happened to hear it but couldn't place what the tune was. I knew it was an orchestra and really sounded familiar. Just to get to the point, it's the Beatles' rendition of "Ticket to Ride" by ? IMO, it was a mistake and probably picked up from another studio (obviously, the walls aren't so soundproof). It could of been picked up in the control booth, (accidently) sent out by audio talkback in studio and picked up by mics. Someone had this theory that PF did it intentionally as a homage to (Beatles) - hence, Abbey Road (same studio), etc. IMO, I don't agree 'cause why that tune?? You can also hear seepage in Van Halen's "Eruption," especially at the end. Ant

Storm Thorgerson submitted a bunch of suggestions regarding the cover. There is nothing significant about the cover (to the 'concept' album itself) other than relating to Pink Floyd's light shows in their concerts. I think it was Richard Wright who wanted a 'simple' cover. I'm pretty sure Roger Waters helped design the inner sleeve. Ant

Gotta love these music questions The first record I actually bought with my own coin was probably The Stampeders 'Oh My Lady' on 45 (single). I can't recall my first LP for I had a couple hundred or so by the time I was 16. It could of been Three Dog Night's "Cyan" but it wasn't released until 1974 and I'm sure I've bought a couple or so albums in '73. I do know my first 8-track was KISS's "Hotter Than Hell."

I just have to say that was one of the funniest pieces I've read regarding the Beatles - save the hiliarious novel, "Paperback Writer" by Mark Shipper.

Stealing Harvard A couple of things to point out... 1) Chris Penn - yes, Sean's brother. When will Chris get his dues? He's a great and brilliant character actor. Most would recognize him for "Reservoir Dogs" but he's been in at least 40 to 50 films. Check him out in "The Boy's Club." 2) Tom Green - maybe because I'm also Canadian and get the stupid humour but Tom's a riot. It may not be his best 'acting' film but I laughed out loud in parts. Actually, I laughed at a lot of parts. That scene with the toothbrush and then finding out what (toothbrush) was used for had me peeing me pants.

I bought their recent CD last week. Many of the tunes have that fast rat-a-tat-tat snare drum drumming common in hardcore punk for which I don't care for. You'd think that punk bands would quit doing that. It's old hat now. I actually bought the CD noticing that GGGarth produced it. Rise Against discography I'll have to play it a few more times to give my overall impression.

miamisammy29 I love lasagna and my son gets the gummi bears One thing that I love about music is other's likes and dislikes; opinions of what they feel are the band/performer's best output; etc. Just because someone has different tastes, views, etc. regarding music to my own opinions never means I think any less of them, knowledge-wise or character alone. In other words, it's cool that you feel highly about 'Sticky Fingers' as for myself - I got tired of it long ago. IMO, some songs/albums/bands, etc. can last the test of time while others,... well, you know. My one brother and I have been fans of "Can't You Hear Me Knocking" for the longest time. I got sick of "Wild Horses" for years but now I can listen to it with ease. An old jam band of mine used to play "Brown Sugar." After playing it so much got a bit under (my) skin. I've always wondered how Keith can still play that intro to "Satisfaction" for the ga-zillionith time Anyway, I'll just list my favourite RS tunes (in order!!) 1) Memory Motel (this tune makes 'Wild Horses' sound like ponies on a carousel ) 2) Street Fighting Man (studio or live version from 'Get Yer Ya's Ya's Out).
