  2. Sadly, I haven't read or seen this one. But I did read The Five People You Meet In Heaven by Mitch Albom, and it was just as moving to me as you describe Tuesday's with Morie was for you. I might have to read that one this summer as well.
  3. I think FOuntains of Wayne is one of the best fluff punk out there. Although you can't really tell from the song Stacey's Mom. Although the album it's off of "Welcome Interstate Managers" is pretty strong otherwise.
  4. Any word on a Live 8 DVD? I missed it cause of work, I'm sooo pissed.
  5. No problem... I love that video... it's great. Also the title track off that album is amazing "Slow down everyone you're moving too fast frame's can't catch you when you're moving like that."
  6. Arrrrgggggggg I totally missed it cause I got outta work late. Damn grr arg!
  7. The song's called "Taylor" off the ablum Brushfire Fairytales
  8. Hrmmm I might have to make this a theme for one of my raido shows next semester.

  11. Thank you soooo much. I knkew Cash had been banned, and that had been my first thought, but it didn't seem right.
  12. "Things Change" by Tim McGraw I know the second verse is about Elvis and the third verse is about the songwritters of the 60's, but can any one help me out with who the first verse of this song is about? Verse: They wouldn't let him play the Opry with whiskey on his breath And it didn't take 'em long To figure out what they missed He went down that lost highway Underneath the purple sky A legend disappeared before his time
  13. The Robin Williams IAS was one of the best ones I have seen ever. Billy Crystal's was quite good as well, although I'm not a huge fan of his. There are some people who you just want to sit there and listen to them tell stories about different movies they've been on and how they worked through them. I found the Sean Connery one (about oh five years ago by now) extremely interesting, the Mel Gibson was good as well.
  14. I like the title for this thread Ron. Very original, yet oh so true.
  15. Yeah I'm aware... the match ups are interesting even if htey didn't record them together. There was talk about doing a Duets 3 a few years ago (post-mortem of course) but it never came to pass. Does anyone remember the SNL sketch about the Frank Duet recordings... it was an on going one... i remember one with Eddie Murphy as Stevie Wonder and I can't remember who as Frank doing Ebony and Ivory.
  16. 10th Kingdom wins hands down! I have it on DVD and have stayed up till all hours of the morning with my roommate watching it in its entirety. I also like: I, Claudis (flashbacks to Latin class in HS) Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles (well, since other people put movie groups in) Indiana JOnes
  17. I love Inside the Actor's Studio... you hear such great stories... and I love the Seven Questions at the end. Hopefully if all goes right I'll be attending those live, if they accept me into the graduate school program!
  18. Soooooo not fair. That would have been awesome to watch. With the wonders of movie magic anything is still possible. So maybe if we all keep our fingers crossed and hold our breaths this may change.
  19. I agree with Bluesboy. The version you more than likely heard was off the Duets 2 album. If you're looking for some great compilations those are the albums to get.
  20. Uhg... not another great station down the drain. This is soooo not cool. All Infinity and Clear Channel wants is the rap/pop carp. They think that's where the money is. Whereas we get the [bleep] end of the stick when it comes to listening to great music classics.
  21. I think it's written in Tagalong. At least that's what it almost sounds like.
  22. Well...... we all hope he was acting!
  23. Haven't we all had enough of Tommy! This is just slightly distressing.
  24. kinda like Freaky Friday, Prince and the Pauper, and teen angst carp rolled into one! It could do decent at the box office cause them 12 year old pre=pubscent girls will eat it up and then some. They do have to sign one person with a name though if they want it to take off in the states instead of just canada. Ehhh, but HOPEFULLY it will have a decent soundtrack (I mean chock full of classic Elton???)
  25. God this is one of the best soundtracks ever!
