It was Stone Temple Pilots, who incidentally were fairly rated. Commercial reasons, Pearl Jam had a better chance to attract a bigger audience. I can't really think of any underrated bands off hand, to me they've all received a good evaluation from the press, I suppose if I try harder, I could list off a few.

It turns from spaceships to guitars, which is a total classic. My favorite unique album design in the past 10 years was Tool's Aenima album, which was a freaky 3D eye movement, it's the kind of originality that the art in music lately has failed to produce. Unfortunately I can't post a pic of it, because it requires it's cut grated cover for the effect.

Yeah, Depeche Mode has some talent, especially their innovative performances on Black Celebration & Music for the Masses, same thing with New Order, they created a sound that was yet unidentifiable with their earlier work, the best albums (IMO) are Low-Life & Brotherhood.

I agree, It's the only video of theirs that MTV really ever played (except for a few off of Down on the Upside, which was a decent album) I liked Badmotorfinger much better than SuperUnknown, but it had a few good songs like Day I tried to Live, Fell on Black Days, & 4th of July.

During the broadcast, Clay Aikens had said about "Unchained Melody" in Ghost, "My mother wanted me to do a COVER of that song, but then a couple months later, Leann Rhymes did it, & my mother's dreams were dashed" First neither wrote the song, it's not like he was completely robbed, & second he didn't need to talk about his own singing career during the clip, it was like the 3rd time he did that during the show. Hillary Duff's high powered statement was "Yeah I remember dancing to Stayin Alive yasyayayaboltjowianblk" The Countdown could've used wiser , more experienced commentary.
