    Help

Usually they're posted on This Thread but a mod or regular user could help you with that more than I can.
  2. Thanks! I had that stuck in my head one night & woke up wondering about it, I wasn't sure who sang it, since it was from a film score.
  3. I may have to pick up a copy of this, too bad it's less than half an hour long, but the whole exertion of the album looks promising. Seeing as how these songs aren?t inclusive covers, but more their variation of the preceding genre, this could be a strong album. I just hope my anticipation doesn?t get guided in the wrong direction.
  4. OMG ! :: That's disgusting @ 2 posts above HaHa Now I must throw away my breakfast Oh & the lyrics are ... Roses smell like boo-boo
  5. Could it be U2-Beautiful Day, or possibly Matchbox 20, even though that doesn't fit the time circa, but the only thing that comes to my head. ::
  6. Bonnie Raitt - Not the Only One Chorus I was in a daze, moving in the wrong direction Feelin that Id always be the lonely one Then I saw your face, on the edge of my horizon Whisperin that I wasnt the only one The lonely one. One Chance intervention, see what it can signify The slightest misrapprehension, baby And wed have passed each other by When I heard your sweet voice callin Saw your light come shinin through I couldnt stop my heart from turning Churin out my love for you, my love to you. Chorus True love or prefection It seems like its overdue Then just when you least expect it It comes sneakin up on you When I thought that I was dreaming Felt your body close to mine Now love takes on a different meaning Togethor till the end of time. Chorus I was in a daze, movin in the wrong direction Feelin that Id always be the lonely one When I saw your face through the web of my confusion Whisperin that I wasnt the only one The lonely one.
  7. Most definitely, they had over 10 songs in the top 10, my favorite one was Eli's Coming. But if they haven't been inducted already, then they should be at any time now.
  8. When MTV did the Top 25 worst videos of all time, that was #1 & Dennis Leary grinded up the video in a blender after it was done playing. Another bad one was the song / music video Bruce Willis did back in the late 80's. I forget the name of the song.
  9. Is that the song that starts off "it's normal for girls to wear jeans..." I've heard it, but only directly off the CD.
  10. A few of my favorites, in no particular order: Aphex Twin Cybotron Daft Punk DJ T-1000 Fatboy Slim Infiniti Moby Orbital Art of Noise deserves mention for being one of the first to pave the way back in the 80?s.
  11. This song is a cover? Whoever they covered it from, they had to of changed the lyrics, I can tell that much LOL Sample Lyrics I know you'd like to thank your s*** don't stank But lean a little bit closer See that roses really smell like boo-boo Yeah, roses really smell like boo-boo Well she's got a hotty body, but her attitude is potty When I met her at a party she was hardly acting naughty I said "Would you call me?" She said "Pardon me, are you ballin'?" I said "Darling, you sound like a prostitute pursing" Oh so you're one them freaks, get geeked at the sight of ATM receipts But game been peeped, dropping names she's weak Trickin' off this b**** is lost Must take me for a geek a quick way to eat A neat place sleep, a rent-a-car for a week, a trick for a treat Now go on the raw sex, my AIDS test is flawless Regardless, we don't want to get involved with no lawyers And judges just to hold grudges in a courtroom I wanna see ya support bra not support you! Better come back down to Mars Girl, quit chasin' cars What happens when the dough get so low Bitch, you ain't that fine No way.. no way.. no way Crazy b**** B****, stupid ass b**** Old punk ass b****, old dumbass b**** A b****'s b****, just a b****
  12. Derek & the Dominos - Layla Led Zeppelin - Heartbreaker Pink Floyd - Time The Eagles - Hotel California AC/DC - Back in Black Metallica - For Whom the Bell Tolls Megadeth - Holy Wars... The Punishment Due Guns N' Roses - You Could Be Mine :guitar:
  13. Their first 2 albums came out in 1969, but I agree that it was the best time for music. Another year that was really good for music was: 1971 IV (Led Zeppelin) Sticky Fingers (Rolling Stones) Imagine (John Lennon) LA Woman (The Doors) Who's Next (The Who) Pearl (Janis Joplin)
  14. I wonder if they're referring to the Box Set or this is some sort of error What surprises me is that Creed & Kidrock have both outsold Nevermind from Nirvana, it just goes to show the whole tag-along when it comes to corporate rock mainstream.
  15. Most music videos (even the good ones) are like that :: I can't think of any off hand, because I haven't really seen any videos on MTV in years
  16. I own 49 of the CD's (maybe a miscount?) on that list, most of them being in the Top 50, & a lot of them are one's I'm not too proud of.
  17. Scott Weiland would be a good singer for Alice in Chains, except that he's with Slash & Duff working on a project called Velvet Revolver, Chris Cornell would be another one, but he's teamed up with Rage for Audioslave, otherwise Jerry Cantrell could fill the void & just label his solo career as Alice in Chains.
  18. Okay, I'll have to check out some of MSP's other stuff Not really in a mainstream circle, but they've received mention, I don't think I have heard them played on the radio, but a close friend recommended the album to me years back.
  19. What are their other albums like? I read good reviews on "The Holy Bible" but haven't heard their music, except for their following album.
  20. I had to look up an online source for that exact tidbit of information, but yeah Richey who disappeared during the recording of "Everything Must Go". He wrote about half of the album & then Wire had to finish it off.
  21. I can concur; their mid-90?s set ?Everything Must Go? is a pretty civilized album, but could have been an even better album, had one of the members not left during it's original recording.
  22. I agree, they never really glistened into the mainstream, except back in 1990 with Silent Lucidity from Empire. He has a reaching voice like no other rock musician I?ve heard & deserved more recognition for their take during the monotonous 80?s rock scene.
  23. Too bad she can't sing worth a crap, Black Eyed Peas would be better off without her cramping their style. I heard on the radio a few years back, that the song "Yellow" was banned from American radio, because it offended the Chinese population, I don't know if this was true or not, could have just been a smart ass DJ, but I haven't heard the song on the air since.
  24. When I think of innovative music, I tend to think towards the originals Any mid-50's rock group (especially Chuck Berry) Beatles sufficiently gave to influence rock, enough said The Doors were a daring band Jefferson Airplane tried a lot of new things Jimi Hendrix's style of electric guitar playing was new Pink Floyd came to with a brand of their own Velvet Underground revolutionized alternative with their obscure sound Led Zeppelin opened up for Hard Rock Black Sabbath opened the doors for Heavy Metal 10cc put up a new progressive sound George Clinton & Parliament with his brand of funk-pop David Bowie put towards the essence Sex Pistols were outrageous as hard-core punk creators The Police widely created the way for New Wave Rush synthesized Arena Rock Metallica displayed a talented heaviness not yet heard Run DMC put a heavy footnote on Rap Music Red Hot Chili Peppers mixed funk with rock/pop & it worked Sonic Youth created the ?Grunge Movement? Beastie Boys succeeded in ?White Rap? Nine Inch Nails industrialized to the mainstream Tool gave a new meaning to the dark side There?s many more that I am missing & will find later on
  25. I agree, I love Classic Tom, it's a good arrangement of Rock Tunes, and in my opinion one of the best of the latter part of the decade, but Damn the Torpedos was the peak point in his career, I still own the original vinyl.
