  1. Hurricane - Bob Dylan Opinions? Personal favorites?
  2. I thought this was the "best guitar players" thread? Not the "we can make hip sounds on a computer band thread" . . . Maybe I'm mistaken . . .
  3. Linus & Lucy - Vince Guaraldi :happybanana: < /end any other suggestions >
  4. Opinions? Who in your mind would make for a very interesting bio pic next? I've heard rumors of a Jimi Hendrix bio pic in which that one fella from "Outkast" is it plays him? Could be good I suppose and sadly I see a resemblence in the two. Personally I'd like to see (although I know his name is over used on this forum) a Kurt Cobain bio pic. I think it would come off very interesting and rather good if studied well and done in good time. Next to that in my mind would be Freddie Mercury, Janis Joplin or even something on Dylan. Eh?
  5. What are some particular songs you all say you hate by a band or someone when around friends or family, but if you were alone listening to this song you would actually enjoy it? Don't be embarrassed. Mine are: A lot of Sugar Ray songs. [Only ashamed a little bit because I always argue about what's real in music and what's just done in a computer. A lot of Sugar Ray songs provide their sounds through a computer or DJ . . . but I like em'. ] Couple Beastie Boys songs. [i hate rap.] "Closing Time" by Semisonic "Semi-charmed Life" by Third Eye Blind "Love Shack" by B-52's "Cathy's Clown" by Everly Brothers "Windy" The Association "Five O'Clock World" by The Vogues Grrr . . . I've got a lot more, but these are a lot of fresh ones to me.
  6. Anyone have at least one particular song that no matter what mood your in you will suddenly wipe away any sort of emotion or bad feelings because of it? For me no matter how I'm feeling if I hear "Linus & Lucy" from a Charlie Brown Christmas . . . my face automatically sprouts a smile and my spirit feels lifted. Strange really . . .
  7. As you may or may not not know . . . Rage Against the Machine + Soundgarden [Cornelle] = Audioslave Guns N' Roses + Stone Temple Pilots [Weiland] = Velvet Revolver My question to all of you is . . . what are your thoughts on these two seemingly close "super groups"? Like the results for both, only one, neither? Would you have preferred the original bands over their new bands today? Which of the bands did you like or dislike the most of these . . .? I'm interested to read peoples thoughts. I'll post mine soon.
  8. Check out their Greatest Hits CD. Really good. P.S. STP & Collective Soul = Two of the most underrated bands to come from the 90's.
  9. I'm just curious to know if there's any people out there who are obsessed with the TimeLife infomercials? LoL. I'm serious. The ones that advertise the "greatest music collections" and all. I stay up quite late sometimes in hopes of finding one that loops for a half an hour so I can see the footage and hear small clips of great songs all bundled together. Call me strange, but I love it. The newest one showing is the "Legendz" one. Coolest so far . . . I might have to call in.
  10. Specifics that pop into my head are (in no particular order) . . . "Blow Up the Outside World" by Soundgarden "Spoonman" by Soundgarden "Animal" by Pearl Jam "Youth of a Nation" by P.O.D. "Molly's Chambers" by Kings of Leon "Head Like a Hole" by Nine Inch Nails "Hunger Strike" by Temple of the Dog "Yankee Rose" by David Lee Roth "Shine" by Collective Soul "Don't Bring Me Down" by Electric Light Orchestra "Breed" by Nirvana "Stay Away" by Nirvana "Drain You" by Nirvana "Never let you go" by Third Eye Blind
  11. LoL no one can ever be the Beatles. I heard the same thing for Oasis. Anyway . . . Blind Melon could've certainly been a great band or better then what they were. They were only recognized for one song "No Rain" when in all actuality they had a couple good songs on that cd. And one thing you can keep in mind is any good band that had a tragic death and stopped playing because of it could be considered someone that was poised to be big or bigger. ::
  12. 10. AC/DC 9. Alice In Chains 8. Queen 7. Van Halen 6. Pearl Jam 5. Jimi Hendrix 4. Aerosmith 3. Rolling Stones 2. Led Zeppelin 1. Nirvana Honorable Mentions: The Who, Metallica, Black Sabbath, Red Hot Chili Peppers, The Doors, ZZ Top, Lynyrd Skynrd, Guns N' Roses, Stone Temple Pilots, R.E.M., Rage Against The Machine . . . [bleep] THE BEATLES! LoL okay I was semi-kidding on that one. :guitar: + =
