  1. Ok, since we are putting the kibosh on the term "dork", I will say all brainiacs who are fascinated by this story stand up and be counted! I am so thrilled to know the identity of Deep Throat. I have wondered about this for many years now. And now, as a complete non sequitor to the the other "Deep Throat," Courtney Love is supposed to play Linda Lovelace in a movie about her life. No jokes necessary.
  2. Seeking this song you are: Take That - Back For Good I guess now it's time for me to give up I feel it's time Got a picture of you beside me Got your lipstick mark still on your coffee cup Got a fist of pure emotion Got a head of shattered dreams Gotta leave it, gotta leave it all behind now Whatever I said, whatever I did, I didn't mean it I just want you back for good Whenever I'm wrong just tell me the song and I'll sing it You'll be right and understood Unaware but underlined I figured out the story It wasn't good But in the corner of my mind I celebrated glory But that was not to be In the twist of separation you excelled at being free Can't you find a little room inside for me Whatever I said, whatever I did, I didn't mean it I just want you back for good Whenever I'm wrong just tell me the song and I'll sing it You'll be right and understood And we'll be together, this time is forever We'll be fighting and forever we will be So complete in our love We will never be uncovered again
  3. I wish Disco Duck and Convoy would be forever banned from the planet
  4. Al Green did the original version of "Take Me to the River," and it is amazing, as all Al Green songs are.
  5. He's the cutest Beatle fan I've ever seen! :happybanana:

  7. The original was by Spandau Ballet, not Tears For Fears

  9. I read TMI in an article the other day and it took me five minutes to decipher that TMI means "Too Much Information."
  10. Maybe "orgification" is a delicate way of saying group sex.
  11. Rod Stewart was my first grown up concert (I had only seen NKOTB before that) and he put on an AMAZING show with a lot of energy, and, he changed his clothes every 2-3 songs.
  12. Severe lack of original thought. Every thing is re-treaded material (Guess Who, House of Wax, Amityville Horror) and even original ideas are not that original.
  13. Oh Unc I love that you said that! I love that song no matter who sings it! Best muppet songs are on John Denver and the Muppets, A Christmas Together and of course, the song you can't get out of your head no matter what you do: MANAH MANAH!
  14. Will and Jack?! Now I am in severe melt down! I saw Jack on E! News and he looked tired. Must be all that rockin' he's been doing.
  15. Edna, I haven't found anything in my Beatles Encyclopedia to help you, but I will check web sites to see if I can find something. :happybanana:

  19. Wind Beneath My Wings and You Are So Beautiful are 2 songs that spring to mind
  20. Jewel has a song called "You Were Meant For Me," but I don't remember la la's in the chorus: Jewel - You Were Meant For Me I hear the clock, it's 6 a.m. I feel so far away from where I've been I got my eggs, and my pancakes too I got my maple syrup, everything but you I break the yolks and make a smiley face I kinda like it in my brand new place I wipe the spots off of the mirror Don't leave the keys in the door I never put wet towels on the floor anymore 'cause 1-Dreams last so long, even after you're gone I know, you love me And soon you will see, you were meant for me And I was meant for you I called my momma, she was out for a walk Consoled a cup of coffee but it didn't wanna talk So I picked up a paper, it was more bad news More hearts being broken or people being used Put on my coat in the pouring rain I saw a movie it just wasn't the same 'Cause it was happy and I was sad It made me miss you oh so bad (repeat 1) I go about my business, I'm doing fine Besides, what would I say if I had you on the line Same old story, not much to say Hearts are broken every day I brush my teeth and put the cap back on I know you hate it, when I leave the light on I pick up a book, and turn the sheets down And take a deep breath and a good look around Put on my pj's and hop into bed I'm half alive but I feel mostly dead I try and tell myself it'll be all right I just shouldn't think anymore tonight (repeat 1) You were meant for me and I was meant for you
  21. That must be the take off of Hopper's "Night Hawks at the Diner." Basing a trivia question about a song based on an imitation of a painting is like saying Kenny Roger's "The Gambler" is based on "Dogs Playing Poker"!
