  1. There's a John Fogerty concert coming soon and I'm wondering if it's worth going. Does anyone know if he would be playing the classic CCR songs or mostly his other works. And if it is not the CCR songs is it worth going? I have not heard much of his music rather than with CCR.

  2. Heres a big shot in the dark but you guys seem to be pretty good at this stuff. It's definitely a 60's song. It's kinda slow, downbeat and sad. I heard it a few times and it definitely sounds like a 'known' song and it is not abstract. Kinda sounds like The Zombies. All I can remember is it saying you as the first word in the chorus but even that could be misheard. I did a search and it is not You've Really Got a Hold On Me. I know the rhythm of the chorus but I don't know how to describe it. And ideas?

  3. I didn't think this one would be hard to find but no luck so far. I remember hearing the song a few times before but then I heard some add for a radio station on TV. Not sure what station it was for but it mostly had classic rock songs on it and like every other radio commercial, had Hotel California as one of the song clips. Anyway here goes the only line I can really remember is

"Come on baby get this (or the?) party started" then it goes something like come on baby ............ then something that rhymes with started. Sounded like 70's to me.

  4. I remember hearing a song a while ago a few times. I remember listening to the radio and them saying something about it is the most well known songs by the group but it didn't chart because it wasn't released as a single. I think I remember hearing something about Talking Heads and I am not sure if it was by them or not. It was a song with low deep vocals that were sung at a fairly fast speed. I am pretty sure it was from the 80's. When I did a search for Talking Heads songs one came up with a title that caught my eye. It was Take Me To The River and I thought that might be what they were saying during the corus but I couldn't understand what they were saying so I am not sure of the lyrics... maybe something about a buffalo? But anyways, it's not that song and does anyone have any ideas?

  5. What were all the different arsits that recorded this song and who was the origional artist?

You've seen my hands are steady

    You've seen my face before

Soon you can take your last look

    And they'll close the door

    I stand accused before you

I have no tears to cry

And you will never break me

    Until the day I die

A criminal mind was all I

    All I've ever known

    They've tried to reform me

Cause I'm made of cold stone

My criminal mind is all I

    All I've ever had

    Ask one who's known me

    If I'm really so bad...

    I am

I've spent my life behind these steel bars

I've paid my debt in time

    But being brought to justice

    That was my only crime

    I don't regret action

    I'd do the same again

    These prison walls secure me

    And I'm numb to pain

A criminal mind was all I

    All I've ever known

    They've tried to reform me

But I'm made of cold stone

My criminal mind is all I

    All I've ever had

    Ask one who's known me

    If I'm really so bad...

    I am

    Before you hand me over

    Before you read my sentence

I'd like to say a few words

    Here in my own defense

    Some people struggle daily

They struggle with their conscience 'til the end

I have no guilt to haunt me

    I feel no wrong intent

A criminal mind is all I

    All I've ever known

    Don't try to reform me

Cause I'm made of cold stone

My criminal mind is all I

    All I've ever had

    Ask one who's known me

    If I'm really so bad...

    I am

    Oh I am

    Oh I am

    I'm made of cold stone

    Made of cold stone

I'm just like these prison walls

    A criminal mind
