I am looking for the name of a singer and I've only got a little information but I'm sure somebody out there will know who I am talking about. Bloke about 50ish, plays guitar, got a lot of airplay on Radio 2 in the UK. i am sure he used to be in a band - i thought King Crimson but I might be wrong. He is wearing a hat on the album cover and sounds like a proper singer songwriter. Poppier than john Martyn but not as poppy as David Gray? Does anybody have any clue who I might be thinking about......

I have been racking my brains to come up with some and the best I can do is Sweet Home Alabama - Neil Young reference and "I only wanna be with you" by Hootie which references Dylan (idiot wind I think) - there must be millions more but I can't think of them - any ideas gratefully received.
