I'm impressed that so many have chosen Billy Powell for the keyboard spot. He is defintely one who is overlooked. My line up would be:
Lead guitar: SRV
Rhythm guitar: Gary Rossington
Percussion: Ringo Starr
Keys: Billy Powell
Vocals: Ronnie Van Zant
Bass: Mike Gordon
If we're going to talk geniuses, shouldn't we consider the likes of Howlin' Wolf, Albert King, Muddy Waters, and Robert Johnson? Theses guys influenced the music written and played by Hendrix, Clapton, SRV, and the Allman Brothers to mention a few.
Carole King spells it with an "e" at the end since we are being nit-picky. What about adding Mick Jagger to the equation? What is the connection with him? Besides "You're So Vain" Shackwater Jack
I heard a song of Paul's today on the radio and was wondering if someone could give me the title. He sings the alphabet and when he gets to "i" he sings, "I love you" Any help would be appreciated.
On AMC, there was a commercial showing a lot of movie clips with a song behind it. There was a girl and a guy singing a duet. The woman's voice sounded familiar but i couldn't place it. It might have been on at the time of the Oscars. Can anyone help.
