  1. Ticket prices are crazy!!! Here's what I have found that works for me: The last TOOL concert I went to in Tucson, AZ was at the TCC (Tucson Convention Center) seats in the "nose bleed" section were $40 a piece. So, I bought a ticket for that amount and my little brother and I sat in our seats as everyone was getting situated. The opening band was Tomahawk (with the lead singer from "Faith No More") as SOON as the lights went down for them to start the show off, I looked at my brother...smiled...and said "GO!" So we go running down the bleacher steps all the way to the lip of the 8 foot drop down to the floor and hurttled it! My brother, Tim, said all he remembers is turning around after he hit the ground and seeing my long blonde hair and black knee-high combat boots flying over the barrier! We made a mad dash from the security guards who were chasing all the people that were doing the same damn thing as we were....to make a long story short we ended up with front row seats!! So the moral of this story is: Never pay full price for a floor seat ticket...you will end being angry that you did when you see the sea of people who paid less then you jump the barrier and end up standing right next you!
  2. One band was The Eagles...right Pink? I don't remember a cover done by them...ofcourse...I never pretended to know EVERYTHING! ::
  3. I don't why...but as older men go, I think Victor Garber is really good looking.
  4. Dusk Til Dawn, this movie had everything. For being a semi-budget film that is.
  5. I voted for No Quarter...the tune of the guitar is haunting.
  6. That's a good point Cyberdemon...but I was just thinking....did it not STILL work out that way?? Fantasia was the "winner" yes, but Diana has SO much support and talent etc. that SHE may end up getting a record deal as well....so really, no matter WHO won...they both did. ::
  7. Sure...I think that was "YMCA" by the Village People.
  8. Yikes...just the one huh?? I like what Muzik said about listening to a song that you DON'T like so you don't care if you get sick of it....on the OTHER hand...I could listen to Eulogy by TOOL over and over...and over. ::
  9. Hey, remember that band...err..."group" back in the early 90's COLOR ME BAD Yeah, I was just thinking about songs I used to listen to back then and some of their songs came into my head... ::
  10. For Kazaa users: When you are applying your "settings" all you have to do is disable your sharing and you will be fine! If you are not sharing..."they" can't find you.
  11. Thanks Pink! I will be singing that song ALL day now!
  12. I guess I would have to agree that they are different but BOTH equally phoenomonal. I would like to add that Clapton is STILL making music though. Ever wonder if Hendrix would still be making music if he was alive? Hmmm...that's a tough one. Because when you think about it....Hendrix was not really around for that long. He just came in and out with a BANG!!! And people still listen to his music!
  13. Other bands I listened to in the 90's were "Dance Hall Crashers" & "Save Ferris"
  14. Okay, Cyberdemon, I will make you a deal: I will DL those 2 Crazy Town songs...giving them the benefit of the doubt...If you NEVER, EVER say anything bad about TOOL again! TOOL on the radio...well they only play 4 songs that I can think of...46 & 2, Aenema, Schism, Sober...okay these songs are NOT the end all be all of TOOL. These are the damn trendy songs that people listen to and say "Oh, I love TOOL" really? Because if these are the only songs you know...then you have never really heard TOOL. And last but not least...please...don't ever put TOOL in the same category as Good Charlotte & Sum 41 Okay...that's all.
  15. I like Candlebox...you forgot to mention the song "YOU"...I love that song! Smashing Pumpkins are awesome! STP...deffinately! Deftones, BUSH, Crass, Decendants, Social Distortion...and now I am drawing a blank...I did listen to Nirvana in the 90's...not a huge fan but I like the song "Drain You".
  16. OOO...OOOO....I agree...I have ALWAYS hated Blink 182 (and actually when I read the post before coming in here that was my 1st choice) All of their songs sound pretty much the same...now, mind you, I have seen interviews with them and they are hilarious guys!!! I would even hang out them, just don't care for their "talent" or lack there of. Oh yeah, and after seeing a commercial for a "teeny-bopper" CD with a bunch of trendy untalented songs...also featuring Blink 182...ummm...yeah they are SO punk rock! I am not going to mention boy bands...that should just be a given! :: Crazy Town would have to be another or my favorite bands to hate...I mean come on..."You're my butterfly...sugar baby"?? Way to look deep down indise yourself for those lyrics!
  17. Oh yeah...that's not what this post is about...okay, okay...songs mis-used in commercials...ummm...That Geiko commercial with that song, ..."I want to hold you 'til I die, 'til we both break down and cry"...yada yada...until the fear in me subsides" We are talking about car insurance here!!! But, on the other hand, it's really funny when the pretty girl is spinning around holding hands with the little cute gecko...looking into eachothers eyes...frolicking in the meadow!! LOL!!! How rediculous is that...humerous though...
  18. Muzik, does that REALLY exist?? COOL!!! :: Got to get me some of THAT!
  19. Tammy, I for sure agree with you about Cher...what EVER or WHO ever inspired her to be a singer is just....beyond me. ::
  20. Funny...My dad told me that he read the Exorcist when he was 18 years old....now my dad is the one that got me into HORROR movies, but he said that when he read that book... HE SLEPT WITH THE LIGHT ON FOR 2 WEEKS!!! LMAO! And we always thought our parents were invinsable!! ::
