  1. He is singing from the grave. The friends wife is the woman. You should hear EmmyLou Harris sing it. Or The Band. Much better than Dave Matthews.
  2. Cris these guys were extrememly major in the 70's. I'm surprised you didn't know more about them, smart as you are. I'm glad you've been introduced to thier music.
  3. If I had vacation days coming to me Aaron that's where I'd be! It sucks when you start a new job, and have to wait for vacation days. ::
  4. Depends on the song. Some songs just don't transfer well to an unplugged version. But when the right song is picked, it can sound excellent. I'm sure everyone can think of good and bad examples.
  5. I really liked Amber Sky. Simple but very expressive. The others were good, and show talent. I'm not fond of the subject matter. I understand that's your feelings, and you should write what you feel, but I could not read poems with the same subject matter in each one. Try diversifying. See if you are as good with something else you are as passionate about. I think you are talented.
  6. 43 points. That's pretty right on.
  7. Please all you guys tell me, there is a reason behind my madness, but it's a secret. ::
  8. great, every one post once please! thanks ahead of time. ::

  10. From A Dry Camel. Oops, I'm sorry! I thought angel had answered and didn't give a clue. I didn't even see golden ann's post. My mind is wandering.
  11. How about The Complete Recordings of Robert Johnson? Learn a few people up where this blues/rock and roll stuff started. If nothing else people should do a search and read the real story behind "Crossroads".
  12. I heard today that per capita we also have more Catholic high schools than any other US city. First, that is an odd statistic for anyone to know. Second, you don't suppose there's any kind of odd corelation do you? ::

    Plant // Beck

Oh bluesy, just imagine! The guitar work on that stage! of the two, Jeff Beck is the real draw for me, and Plant icing on the cake!!!
  16. Aaron, it's hard to find many fans of the Daredevils, that actually think enough of them to mention them concerning anything. I happen to love them, as do a lot of us around here(Mo). They are sort of local heros, actually from down around Springfield. I can think of many, many nights, standing around a bonfire(I was like 18)and playing Chicken Train over and over. 10 or 15 of us all chicken dancin, and bwaaakin like mad! some of my best times. Talk about harmonica! "Chicken train, take the chickens away..."
  17. Disappointed? Not me. How many people can say they are lucky enough to live in the most unsafe city in America? We're # 1!!!

    The Past

oh foxy, sweetie, I feel so bad for you. I can relate, in many ways. My dad is cold...very cold. Just this past year, I tried again with him, and nothing in return. It kind of goes in cycles, I get nothing, for years, then we'll try a little, then back to nothing. I am twice your age, and still have not learned how to put it away. Nothing really hurts more than a little girl who wants and needs her daddy, and knowing he really isn't there, know matter how old you are. I felt that way this year. It's easy to say put the past behind you, but the past is part of who you are, and you don't just put that in a cupboard and decide not to think about it. It's hard. I hope you will be more sucessful than I, and I wish you nothing more than the happiness you deserve. Life does go on, no real resaon to spend it unhappily. Love ya baby.
  20. I knew I was living in the most unsafe city in America. I hoped no one else did. Thanks. I actually don't live in St. Louis, but right across the Missouri River. Every night on the news, at least 3 murders or violent crimes. That's just the ones that get reported on tv. You wouldn't really associate statistics like that with St. Louis would you? I never thought so, the heart of the midwest and all. :: :beady: I just realized, we are one of the smaller cities too. That kind of makes it worse. The major cities don't have the same problem. Guess you see where our priorities lie! :beady:
  21. you are all so sweet! Once again, ah looove you! And that is my theme song you know!
  22. It's country but how about "I'm Gonna Miss Her" by Brad Paisley? great song....oh looky there I've got a bite.
  23. As Kevin so sweetly pointed out to me...today is my songfacts anniversary! Gifts are not necessary, but will not be turned away! Love Y'all! :: I just noticed something else, I have turned seahorse! took me a year, but they are so pretty.
