  1. Like mentioned in another thread, Alice in Chains and Soundgarden are underrated.
  2. I'll definatly agree on that.
  3. It's quicker to type. If he didn't have Mitchell, he would have gotten his other choice, Aynsley Dunbar. Actually Jimi chose Mitchell because of a coin toss. IMO, the experience was just as good with Billy Cox. But the real question is, what would he have done without Chas Chandler?
  4. Never heard "Black Star", The only ones I can remember by him are "Far beyond the sun" and "Veangence". I had a chance to see him in concert for around 20 bucks, but I missed it.
  5. Dont think so, their always touring.
  6. "Moby Dick" explains it all... Bonham is amazing.
  7. Steve Vai, Joe Satriani, and Yngwie Malmsteen are great guitar slingers, a little better than the darkness. :: :guitar:
  8. The best instrument is probably the piano. But my favorite will always be the guitar. :guitar:
  9. As for instruments, On "If 6 was 9" he played a flute. On "Crosstown Traffic" he played a kazoo. On "Little Wing" he played a glockenspiel. On "Bold As Love" he played a Harpsichord. And he played bass and piano on many of his songs. :guitar:
  10. "Kashmir" is probably about the band's trips to the middle east, I think there's a region in India called Kashmir. Here's some samples from the lyrics. "Oh let the sun beat down upon my face, stars to fill my dream I am a traveler of both time and space, to be where I have been To sit with elders of the gentle race, this world has seldom seen They talk of days for which they sit and wait and all will be revealed" This pretty much explains itself... "Talk and song from tongues of lilting grace, whose sounds caress my ear But not a word I heard could I relate, the story was quite clear Oh, oh." "All I see turns to brown, as the sun burns the ground And my eyes fill with sand, as I scan this wasted land Trying to find, trying to find where I've been. Oh, pilot of the storm who leaves no trace, like thoughts inside a dream Heed the path that led me to that place, yellow desert stream My Shangri-La beneath the summer moon, I will return again Sure as the dust that floats high in June, when movin' through Kashmir."
  11. Thats very ture. Probably the best guitarist is some unknown studio musician, who's job is to play guitar, not to entertain. But you never know. But as for the best famous guitarist, I'm sticking with Hendrix. :guitar:
  12. Jimi Hendrix - Band of Gypsys
  13. SRV had an immense amount of talent. If you haven't already, try listening to songs such as: His cover of "Little Wing", "Say What", "The Sky is Crying", "Texas Flood", and "Rivera Paradise". Not everybody likes him, but his talent is undeniable. :guitar:
  14. Black Sabbath Sabbath Bloody Sabath War Pigs Black Sabbath (the song) Jimi Hendrix Machine Gun Little Wing Bold As Love Lynyrd Skynyrd Tuesday's Gone Gimme Back My Bullets Freebird (live)
  15. I always use olga for all of my tabs. :guitar:
  16. Cheech and Chong came to my mind first, but a close second was half baked.
  17. I can't totally remember, but I'm pretty sure he did bite off a dove's head. And sometimes during a concert people would throw fake bat's on stage and he would bite thier head's off. But then someone threw a real one up their and he didn't know it. Sorry if I grossed anyone out.
  18. Jimi Hendrix SRV Gary Rossington Zakk Wylde Tony Iommi Heres some that almost made my list: Duane Allman Kirk Hammet Jimmy Page B.B. King Steve Vai :guitar:
  19. Hey that's a cool add-in. :: Did you use HTML or something?
  20. Not sure if this will find any spyware, but it's a pretty good computer scan. It scanned, found, and cleaned up some trogans on my computer. Trend.com
  21. I think you might be speaking of Rick Allen from Def Leppard.
