    POLL

    1. Led Zeppelin 2. Metallica 3. AC/DC 4. Guns and Roses 5. Nirvana 6. S.O.A.D. 7. The Darkness
  2. Ethier way, he is a great musician. One of the local radio stations played songs only from Nirvana the whole weekend! Now thats a tribute.
  3. I only have time for 5 so heres my (hard rock/metal) list. In no order... One - Metallica Ace of Spades - Motorhead Stranglehold - Ted Nugent Sabbath Bloody Sabath - Black Sabbath N.I.B. - Primus and Ozzy :guitar:
  4. I love how Buddy Miles plays drums and sings at the same time. (played with Jimi Hendrix)
  5. Yep I have to agree with everybody. John Bonham and Neil Peart are the two best IMO.
  6. Hmm, well to try to hit this curveball... I think Voodoo Chile is a lot longer, slower, and has more of a blues sound to it. Rather than Voodoo Child(slight return) The Stevie Ray Vaughan cover is amazing. Sounds an incredibly lot like Jimi Hendrix's version. But of course Stevie adds his own things to it. I think Steve Vai and Joe Satriani covered this on their G3 tour. I think either Yngwie Malmsteen or George Lynch joined them on this one. Even I , with my measly recording technology, have covered this song.( not on a cd or anything) :guitar:
  7. Ive done a lot of research on this song, and I still havent figured out the meaning of it. I guess for this one it's a matter of personal opinion. So, IMO, It sounds like the time when the world is being created. Then when he says "I DIDN'T MEAN TO TAKE UP ALL YOUR SWEET TIME I'LL GIVE IT RIGHT BACK TO YA ONE OF THESE DAYS HAHAHA I SAID I DIDN'T MEAN TO TAKE UP ALL YOUR SWEET TIME I'LL GIVE IT RIGHT BACK ONE OF THESE DAYS OH YEAH IF I DON'T MEET YOU NO MORE IN THIS WORLD THEN UH I'LL MEET YA ON THE NEXT ONE AND DON'T BE LATE DON'T BE LATE" It sounds like he's talking to a girl or wife.
  8. "Achilles Last Stand" "Over the Hills and Far Away" "Moby Dick" (off of How the West was Won)- An amazing 16 minute drum solo in this one!
  9. As far as i know these are the ones he was on: The Piper at the Gate - 1967 A Saucerful of Secrets - 1968 I'm think thats all of em. :guitar:
  10. These are my top ten in no order. Led Zeppelin The Beatles Jimi Hendrix Pink Floyd The Rolling Stones Aerosmith Lynyrd Skynyrd Black Sabbath (i'll put them for my list) Metallica AC/DC
  11. I like it when they play "Whole Lotta Rosie" and behind the stage emerges a huge blimp ballon of Rosie. Cracked me up the first time i saw it. Also, not sure which song, they bring out the blimp of Angus with the horns. I saw this on the VHS, I'm sure it's probably on the DVD. On the DVD, it starts with "Thunderstruck" right?
  12. Also, My friend recently told me about a car from Germany that gets 99 miles per gallon! But they wont allow it into the U.S. because it doesn`t fit emission standards. I'm not sure whether its really the emissions problem or the government doesn`t want the gasoline companies to get upset. Its kind-of like the cigarette issue. Why wont the government bann cigarettes? MONEY
  13. I have noticed an increase in the number of fixed-up Honda Civics in my area since "The Fast and The Furious."
  14. I see what you're saying MuzicTyme. They did create a whole new type of music.
  15. Any idea how much the tickets will be?
  16. Well I agree with most of the bands metioned. In my opinion I would add Black Sabbath. They are the founders of Metal.
  17. Dunno who the opening act will be. I'd really like to see this one. Might need to start saving some money up. :guitar:
  18. AC/DC - "Live at Donington" I enjoy watching Angus run all over the stage, while playing awesome solos in his school boy uniform. But my favorite is... Hendrix Band of Gypsys - "Live at the Fillmore East" :guitar:
  19. Thanks for that one. Its a really great song.
  20. Does anybody know the name of the Collective Soul song that has lyrics like this? "And all your weight falls on me, it brings me down." I think that is the chorus to the song. Please help
  21. Sounds like a cool concert. Do you know if they are doing the Summer Sanitarium Tour again?
  22. I've heard of Thursday but i'm not too familar with them. What are some of their good songs?
