  1. to be honest, the basement in both my parents house does not smell at all so I dunno why I said that... I sort of pictured a damp basement and imagined it smelled bad
  2. it doesn't make me gag but I agree, tt's just too musty and horrible! some antique type shops also smell like that because most of the stuff they sell was stored in one of the smelly basements.
  3. hmmm, dunno, I was pretty excited about the last one after listening to "the importance of being ernest"but it was pretty disappointing...

Super Freak -- Rick James 6. Bombay Calling --- It´s a Beautiful Day 7. Just Like Me -- Paul Revere & The Raiders 8. What It's Like -- Everlast 9. 5. There were so many site about how horrible she is and how much she sucks!
  6. "Friday I'm in love" by the Cure has every day in the lyrics
  7. ooo I love "the ballad of cable hogue", good choice! WIll try and find the time to have a listen and vote this time.

  10. anything by bob marley is definitely a sign of summer, always makes me think of being on the beach in Greece, sipping a frappe and posisbly playing backgammon. Another favourite is Manu Chao, especially "king of the bongo"
  11. I'm sorry, I've been so busy and haven't had the chance to listen to anything... proceed without me once again
  12. omg i had totally forgotten I had a photo, I usually took them down!
  13. I haven't had the chance to have a listen yet, so busy, doesn't help that there are so many songs I'm not familiar with...
  14. I can't find mine, i can't remember what it was about but I'm pretty sure it was in the academic year 2004-05 because it was the year I started my PhD
  15. sheryl crow/jodie foster for me. I'm, 1.60 which is 5'3''. edna you are 5'1.5'' according to google
  16. ok I probably have one too, but my point is that she didn't used to, she switched from her british accent to a mid-altantic accent when she moved. I am told by british people that these switches are annoying, but I am no expert
  17. I don't know about brave, but definitely hard. Although I think that after almost 8 years of living here, it will be even harder/braver to move back to Greece!
  18. same here, loved it! Made me smile from the start. I debated about whether I should wear something fabulous to honour the occasion, and a couple of women actually had! the cinema was packed btw and 90% women, was quite amusing. I did think that the girls looked like they had aged a lot, I don't know whether it's because it has been 3 years (?) , or whether it's the big screen that's unflattering. definitely buying when it comes out on DVD, it will be joining series 1-6!
  19. 1. The End – The Doors (1967) 2. Where Is My Mind?- Pixies (1988) 3. Paranoid Android- Radiohead (1997) 4. Echoes- Pink Floyd (1971) 5. Bullet With Butterfly Wings- Smashing Pumpkins (1995) 6. Space Oddity- David Bowie (1969) 7. Knights of Cydonia- Muse (2006) 8. Lithium- Nirvana (1991) 9. Float On- Modest Mouse (2004) 10.Picture Book- The Kinks (1968) This was seriously hard.... And it broke my heart to have to put the first four in order as they are some of my fave songs ever! I worked more on the basis of memories rather than preferance because there isn't much in it really. It would have been even harder if you had picked different songs from other bands that are on your list, pearl jam, arctic monkeys, even iron maiden (wow that takes me back!)
  20. great list! i will have to listen to the songs i've not heard of before but i'm afraid that they prob don't stand a chance because you have some of my fave songs ever on your list!
