  1. Okay, I used to see this music video @ Gold's Gym all the time (this is going back to the late 90's, folks), but I cannot remember who sang this particular version... The song is "Waiting in Vain"--think Bob Marley, easy-going, reggae. In the video, a mini-Marley, adorable little boy w/ dreads goes to Hawaii & sees a beautiful little girl. He tries to find her all through the video, asking locals if they have seen her, going on boat rides looking for her. You never see anyone singing except for a few exceptions when hula dancers are doing their hula hip-shaking thing & wagging their fingers at the camera saying "I don't wanna wai-hait in vai-hain for your love"... I used to love the song, but I just cannot recall who sang this version! I appreciate any help you can offer! happygirl ::
  2. Nevermind, peeps....It's Rusted Root, "Send Me On My Way"...not even close to Talking Heads, huh? Thanks anyway, guys! :happybanana:
  3. Ooh, ooh--I just remembered the guy sings something like "hold my little hand"...does that help?? ::
  4. It was a cd of random artists/songs; sort of like the NOW cd's, but not the super popular songs. The Listerine/Tarzan boy song may have been on it, but that's not the song. (oh oh ohee ohee oh-oh oh-oh oh-ooh), Anyway, that's just a side fact. :: It may have been the Talking Heads guy...I just don't know; it was a lifetime ago & I never saw pics of the artists. That doggone room-mate! Tx!
  5. By the way, I think that "Tarzan song" (y'know, the Listerine commercial?) was on that cd, too. Thanks, happygirl
  6. Okay, kids, my roomie in college (1995) got some free cd from Disc Jockey with maybe 10 different songs on it---she hated most of it except for this one song that she played ALL THE TIME. And for some reason, the chorus loop has been playing in my head recently. I need a title/artist, something....It's by a man, kind of a happy little song, I think he says, "on the way" dee doo dee doot "on the way" dee doo dee doot...the dee doo stuff is the happy little guitar part. For some reason, I'm picturing the dark headed guy from the 80's song "never a day goes by" song...crap, that's probably not the right title, either. Or the "our house, in the middle of our street" guy...Sheesh, I don't know. Any assitance you can offer is much appreciated! happygirl
