This and Archer are two shows I've heard about a lot but haven't watched. Will have to binge them someday.

FM was definitely the inspiration for WKRP. What's amazing to anyone who worked in radio is how accurate they were, although WKRP often showed the announcers working without headphones.

Smooth. Here's something my friend Colin turned me onto.

Wow, didn't know about this one

In Ireland they have those Crunchie bars. They're pretty good.

Joe was a treasure. So sad to hear this news. I never met him in person, but his virtual presence was funny, caring, truly uplifting. So glad he found us and joined our gang.

We looked over those suggestions and decided those songs didn't really fit the grammar category. But appreciate the thought.

In case you forget what a web page looked like in 1998:

I remember this. Didn't notice at the time that the "kid" looks about 27.

Noted. We'll give it a listen.

Most quarantine-inspired songs seem a little trite to me, but this one is straight church.

I think he deserves at least as much credit as Buddy Holly for birthing rock and roll. Everything lists toward the middle, so by going so hard in a wild direction, he set an important standard.

This somehow nails it.

I love that you guys are still going at it in 2020.

This video, to the best of my knowledge, is the last time we saw Mariah Carey dancing. Notice the very quick cuts when she does.

We did a story on how artists are reworking songs in the age of coronavirus:

No much room for progression in this genre. The old stuff sounds just as good as the new.

"Groove Is In The Heart." It's as good as I remember it.

This might be a tough one to track down. Sorry I don't have any better ideas.

The Rock and Roll Hall of Fame 2020 inductees will be:
Depeche Mode
The Doobie Brothers
Whitney Houston
Nine Inch Nails
The Notorious B.I.G.
T. RexNotably snubbed are Pat Benatar and Dave Matthews Band - DMB's fans are being rather vocal about it.
I haven't put much credence in the Rock Hall for quite a while because the thought of Rolling Stone writers subjectively choosing inductees bothers me. They also need to either take a few years off or reduce the number of acts they accept, because it's getting thin. This class can probably do without Notorious B.I.G. or T. Rex, but both acts have mythical tales that give them far more gravitas than their music ever did.
The Rock Hall made a big mistake when they named their institution because they've had to induct many acts that are in no way "rock." We learned this lesson when we named our Music History Calendar - making it the "Rock History Calendar" would have been too restrictive.

Poke around https://musicbrainz.org/
They have a lot of possibilities. Here's a search for "The Little People's Counting Rhymes," which might have what you're looking for:

Love that this song is still hanging around. Very nice video.

I dig the funky stuff from the late '60s - "Cloud Nine," "Ball of Confusion" era.

Sad news indeed. She'd been fighting the cancer for a while. So many great songs in her remarkable career.
