  1. I like Kazaa. Although I am terrified to download much anymore...just the occasional song. It would be my luck to d/l something and the Feds show up at my door!
  2. I saw a commercial for Starbucks coffee that had the guys from Survivor singing a version of "Eye of the Tiger" to a man going to work. It absolutely cracks me up. It's almost like a sell-out for them to do a commercial like this, but it is done so tongue-in-cheek that you can't take it seriously. Roy, Roy, Roy, Roy... Someday you might become... Supervisor! (or something similar)
  3. I believe that is where other people have rated you as a poster. You have 5 stars, so that means... You the bomb, yo!
  4. Cyberdemon, ROCK ON! :guitar: Tenacious Peaches
  5. I haven't heard the soundtrack for Save the Last Dance, but I like the song Julia Stiles' character danced to for her audition at Julliard. It started off classical and transitioned into R&B. Good beat, easy to dance to, I give it a 9.
  6. I liked "When I First Kissed You". It was so different from the rest of the Pornograffitti CD. Sort of like lite beer - great taste, less filling.
  7. As long as it's not a catfish. Those creatures scare the (*insert your own word of choice*) out of me. Yikes!
  8. Ken, Of course you realize there are things you can do with Jello in the dark! Peaches
  9. I'm sure you all will be happy to know that I even freaked myself out with that picture! That's what I get for being a smart a**!
  10. Jessie Joshua Kadison From a phone booth in Vegas, Jessie calls at 5 A.M. to tell me how she's tired of all of them. She says, "Baby, I been thinking 'bout a trailer by the sea. We could go to Mexico... you, the cat and me. We'll drink tequila and look for sea shells. Now, doesn't that sound sweet?" Oh, Jessie, you always do this every time I get back on my feet. Jessie paint your pictures 'bout how it's gonna be. By now I should know better, your dreams are never free. But tell me all about our little trailer by the sea; Jessie you can always sell any dream to me. Oh, Jessie, you can always sell any dream to me. She asks me how the cat's been. I say, "Moses he's just fine but he used to think about you all the time. We finally took your pictures down off the wall. Oh, Jessie, how do you always seem to know just when to call?" She says, "Get your stuff together. Bring Moses and drive real fast." And I listen to her promise, "I swear to God this time it's gonna last." Jessie paint your pictures 'bout how it's gonna be. By now I should know better, your dreams are never free. But tell me all about our little trailer by the sea; Jessie you can always sell any dream to me. Oh, Jessie, you can always sell any dream to me. I'll love you in the sunshine, lay you down in the warm white sand. And who knows, maybe this time things'll turn out just the way you planned. Jessie paint your pictures 'bout how it's gonna be. By now I should know better, your dreams are never free. But tell me all about our little trailer by the sea; Jessie you can always sell any dream to me. Oh, Jessie, you can always sell any dream to me. Hope this helps, Nuttytart...love your name!
  11. Roll To Me by Del Amitri Look around your world pretty baby Is it everything you'd hoped it'd be? The wrong guy, the wrong situation The right time to roll to me Roll to me Look into your heart pretty baby Is it aching with some nameless need? Is there something wrong and you can't put your finger on it Right then roll to me And I don't think I have ever seen A soul so in despair(ooooooooooo) So if you want to talk the night through Guess who will be there?(yeahhhhhhhhhhhh) So don't try to deny it pretty baby You've been down so long you can hardly see When the engine's stalled and it won't stop raining it's the Right time to roll to me Roll to me Roll to me And I don't think I have ever seen A soul so in despair So if you want to talk the night through Guess who will be there? So look around your world pretty baby Is it everything you'd hoped it'd be? The wrong guy, the wrong situation The right time to roll to me The right time to roll to me the right time to roll to me...ooohhh Thanks, Tynan, I'll be singing this all day now!
  12. Great book, so-so movie. I love Peter Straub, especially his collaborations with Stephen King - The Talisman & Black House. I want this to be a scared face ::, but it looks more like Mr. Bill to me. Oh no!
  13. Geeter, that is funny. :: The greatest thing I have ever heard about Dwight is Sharon Stone calling him "as boring as a dirt sandwich". Not that I think Sharon is a poster child for positive personality traits, but still pretty darned amusing!
  14. I can't believe I never knew that! How cool! OK, if I have to be named after a "slut", at least she is a cool one!
  15. Song - Rain On The Scarecrow Artist - John Cougar Mellencamp Album - Scarecrow Scarecrow on a wooden cross Blackbird in the barn Four hundred empty acres that used to be my farm I grew up like my daddy did My grandpa cleared this land When I was five I walked the fence while grandpa held my hand Rain on the scarecrow Blood on the plow This land fed a nation This land made me proud And Son I'm just sorry there's no legacy for you now Rain on the scarecrow Blood on the plow Rain on the scarecrow Blood on the plow The crops we grew last summer weren't enough to pay the loans Couldn't buy the seed to plant this spring and the Farmers Bank foreclosed Called my old friend Schepman up to auction off the land He said John it's just my job and I hope you understand Hey calling it your job ol' hoss sure don't make it right But if you want me to I'll say a prayer for your soul tonight And grandma's on the front porch swing with a Bible in her hand Sometimes I hear her singing "Take me to the Promised Land" When you take away a man's dignity he can't work his fields and cows There'll be blood on the scarecrow Blood on the plow Blood on the scarecrow Blood on the plow Well there's ninety-seven crosses planted in the courthouse yard Ninety-seven families who lost ninety-seven farms I think about my grandpa and my neighbors and my name And some nights I feel like dyin' Like that scarecrow in the rain Rain on the scarecrow Blood on the plow This land fed a nation This land made me proud And Son I'm just sorry they're just memories for you now Rain on the scarecrow Blood on the plow Rain on the scarecrow Blood on the plow Rain on the scarecrow Blood on the plow This land fed a nation This land made me proud And Son I'm just sorry they're just memories for you now Rain on the scarecrow Blood on the plow Rain on the scarecrow Blood on the plow

  17. I was named after the song "Carrie Ann" by the Hollies, which apparently is about a skank. I would rather be named after a dog than a slut!
  18. That was hilarious...he was too much like himself! What a dilemma.
  19. Thank you guys for the great reponses. I love this board and the fact that we can have intelligent conversations (even though we aren't technically talking!) and differing opinions about things, but still seem to get along.
  20. I have noticed a lot of anti-rap sentiments on this board, and I am wondering why. Being a woman, I understand the whole misogyny aspect of rap, but I try to consider where it comes from. Most of the rappers I see are not that attractive, and they go from being undesirable when they are struggling to hot sh*t when they have money and fame. Who wouldn?t have a bad opinion of certain types of women if that is all you ever saw? I feel the same about the violence in rap. You write about what you know. If that?s how you grew up, you wouldn?t write about living in the suburbs and joining the Boy Scouts. Rappers are modern day poets reporting on what they see around them. And it isn?t all like that crap in the clubs??Aww, skeet, skeet, skeet?? (YEAH! Chapelle's Show!) There are some great acts out there with socially aware views, such as Outkast, the Roots, the Blackeyed Peas and Mos Def. I just don?t think someone should give the blanket statement ?I don?t like rap? without giving any of it a chance. Thoughts?
  21. Thanks for the info, Vicky. I love Renee, but I think Pink would sound more like Janis. Pink is a freak, but she has a decent voice. And I like the idea of Dre playing Jimi! He wouldn't have been my first choice, but the more I think about it, the more I can see it. ::
  22. I vote for Britney. It's a good thing she has a nice butt or she would be flipping burgers in Kentwood. Maybe if she sang out of her butt, it would help. Hmm... ::
  23. I get it! Thanks, Muzik. I like them, too, but I feel sorry for poor Aaron. Obviously he must have had one hellacious childhood to write the songs that he does. But, good gravy, it can't be all that bad, can it? Go run through a meadow on a cool spring day, rub a puppy dog on his furry little tummy, listen to a little baby laugh, look deep into the eyes of someone who loves you...dude, life can be pretty good sometimes.
