I don't know if this helps you or not, but I believe Big Brother and the Holding Company, Janis Joplin's band, released an album in the 60's that was filled with all sorts of words and pictures. The art was done by underground cartoonist Robert Crumb, and was an eclectic collage of all sorts of stuff. Hope this helps!
