  1. Thanks for trying to help so far everybody!!! It's werid how easy it is to find some songs from the past, and others it's like they never exsisted, ya know? But I just heard it the other day, and I remember it got a lot of airplay on the radio when it was current. So I don't know why it's so hard to find. Well, if I absolutely can't find it by any other means, I may have to resort to calling the radio station, that works sometimes if you can get through to somebody, but not always. :: Cheers, Marissa
  2. I heard a song on the radio yesterday that I haven't heard for ages. I was at work, so if they said the name of it or who does it, I probably missed it. I think it's from the later 70's or earlier 80's, a rock song. Some of the chorus goes like this: "And you're gonna be taking it back, you're gonna be taking it back, tomorrow when you're flat on you're back, you're gonna be taking it back." Some of the others words go: "It was something you implied, baby, when you said it. But I told myself it was someone else, yet I can't quite forget it. In your present state of mind, excuses are hard to find"...then it goes on with the chorus. Those words might not be verbatum, but close, I think. It's a really cool song, so if anybody can help with this, I'd really appreciate it...thanks!!! :: Marissa
  3. Yeah, it's a shame he died a few years back. Really sad.
  4. Does anybody remember a song George Harrison did called "Cheer Down"? I'm looking for what CD that's from, but I can't find it on anything. I think it's possibly on the "Lethal Weapon 2" soundtrack, but does anybody know if he releasd the on anything else, like one of his own albums? It's a cool song, but it's almost like it never exsisted. I'm always looking for it, and finally heard it at the end of "Leathal Weapon 2" when I caught the tail end of the movie on TV last week. ::
  5. "Shake a Leg" by AC/DC, or almost anything by them, for that matter, always get me pumped. :happybanana:
  6. "Ridin' the Storm Out" by REO. "Thunder & Lighten'" by Chi Coltrane. :guitar:
  7. Elvish, as far as narrowing it down, it's a male vocal. Unfortunately, I can't think of many other lyrics right now. But, like I said in my post just before this, I'll check out everybody's suggestions.
  8. Thanks for all of your help, everybody. I will check all of your suggestions out. I'm sure between all of them I'll find the right version of this song, and who does it. And thanks for the welcome, Uncle Joe.
  9. Does anybody know or remember who does a song that's called, I think, "No Turning Back?" I realize there are other songs with this title, and maybe this isn't even the correct name, but it's repeated throughout the song, as the chorus. It's rocky, and I think it's from back in the 70's sometime. I'd forgotten all about it 'til I heard it on the radio today. Naturally, they didn't say who it was after the song was over. I'd really like to know who did this, 'cause I like it. Can anybody help me? Thanks. ::
  10. LOVE that movie, but is did end real sad. I've heard that it was somewhat based on the life of Janis Joplin.
