  1. The questions do not define how liberal or conservative one is... the questions aren't even divided by ideology really.
  2. Wait a minute...labels mean nothing nowadays. The words "liberal" and "conservative are misnomers when you are referring to politics today. Why? Because the people who originally took the word liberal to describe their ideology were actually leftists. But their views have very little to do with being "liberal" in the classic sense of the word. When our Founding Fathers broke from England, they were considered very liberal (maybe even radical back then). They were the first who believed that not only were all men created equal but that we all have inalienable rights that the government cannot take away. This was at a time when most governments had always governed from the top down. Our FFs thought the people should control the government. Radical idea! So, a true liberal (in the classic meaning) is someone who believes in freedom, equality under the law, individual rights and liberties above the collective, and limited government. But those are actually characteristics of people who call themselves conservative these days. Those on the left today believe the government should be able to tell people what to do if it is for their "own good". The left likes big centralized government. The left also wants to confer special rights on certain groups in order to supposedly make up for previous wrongs. At any rate, the point is that those in power on the left are not liberal at all and it makes me wonder why people who believe in equality and freedom identify with those leaders.
