Queen
In "Fat Bottomed Girls" Freddie sings "get on your bikes and ride" and in "Bicycle Race" they sing "fat bottomed girls, they'll be riding today".
Michael Jackson and The Jacksons. This one hasn't been recognised anywhere but if you listen to the songs back-to-back you can pick up that MJ is singing about the same girl in each one.
"She's Out Of My Life" from Off The Wall
and then "Time Waits For No One" from The Jacksons album Triumph.
If it were a story the first song would be when the break-up has happened, and the second song would be maybe a month later with Michael still lamenting over it.
Also from MJ, "Wanna Be Startin' Somethin'" contains the lyrics "Billie Jean is always talkin', when nobody else is talkin'", linking it to the classic that appears later on Thriller.

Don't forget that classic line from the Jay Sean "Baby Are You Down, Down, Down, Down Down" song:
I'll take you away, hey
Turn this place into our private getaway

Wow, not a single vote save for mine for one of the greatest songs of the '90s.

This link is actually a better one as it's straight from the album and doesn't have the people arguing from in the video.

It's a great song! I first heard it in an episode of the classic late '80s TV series Crime Story and have loved it ever since.

Before we go any further, we need to make a quick announcement regarding next week ... it's time for a special, and we (the team) have decided next week will be:
Special Top Ten ~ Instrumentals
Start thinking about your noms.
Well, you know at least ONE of the songs I'll be nominating!

Wow, I just noticed that there's not a single song by Kool & The Gang that has made the top ten.

Because I want to see people and I want to see life...

From that stupid "baby are you down down down down down" song:
I'll take you away, hey,
turn this place into our private getaway

My personal opinion of that Cee-Lo song is that it's like putting on an armani suit and then smearing $hit all over it. The music is fantastic but the gutter language just ruins it.
I'm not a prude or anything. There are some songs where the emotion involved makes swearing in the lyrics justifiable, but this ain't one of them. It would be perfectly fine if the lyrics were actually supposed to be forget you.
Swearing for the sake of swearing is something that school kids do to try and look cool in front of each other.

It's sad that hip hop is now more popular than it was back in the mid to late '80s when it was truly an innovative art form. All the crappy artists of today are making more money than the true legends of the genre ever did.

Janet Jackson
"Let's Wait A While" from Control
"Someday Is Tonight" from Rhythm Nation
