Am I mistaken, or do the initials G.W. often stand for George and Washington, which are common Christian names among patriotic American familes? I know that a famous recent G.W. suggests otherwise, but I reckon George Washington Someone would be a good first guess. Just thinking out loud... LBBB

A couple of 80s classics this week: Uncertain Smile - The The Souvenir - Orchestral Manoeuvres In The Dark (one of the loveliest melodies of the 80s) Thanks, LBBB -
Well, although I'm not an American, I'm pretty sure I could guess what the first two initials stand for ;-) LBBB

I don't think it's just you. I kind of fancy her myself. She's got what it takes to be a big star one day. Of course, your avatar is pretty cute too. Bedroom eyes! L. -

Well, it's a bittersweet week. Satellite Of Love looks doomed to languish on the outside forever, but then again I would never have guessed that Another Girl Another Planet would get so many votes. So one of my children is underperforming, but the other is a drastic over-achiever. This is probably how every mother feels. Love... -

A great song, sure, but definitely my favourite film clip in Help! A very classic forward-looking clip, inspiration for many over the years. Thanks heaps, Audrey. -

I LOVE that song, Darryl. I like to dig into Beach Boys albums, past Pet Sounds and past compilations. There's so much wonderful stuff hidden in there. Sadly, they make my wife gag, but that's the usual way of things ;-) Lee -

I must be going insane... either that or Darryl changed/edited his nomination. I could swear he said "I'm sorry, but it's been months since I nominated a Beatles song." Anyway, I was just driving along wondering how I managed to leave that song out of my 10. Now I know. Darryl is obviously trying to mess with my head. Like Alan Arkin in "Wait Until Dark". Which of course makes me Audrey Hepburn ;-) LBBB -

I know the man's name, but I cannot think who it is!!

Well done, Edna! Carole King indeed.

That's a bit sad!! I love Jane Austen. Terrible to think that a guy has to dislike some of the greatest novels ever written in order to gain approval ;-) I also like stupid guy stuff like Matthew Reilly and geeky SciFi, but I turn to Jane Austen or Patrick O'Brian when I'm ready to be a grown up. Brontes are great too, but obviously not as much fun. I'm really not sure what impact being a guy would have on the matter. And for the record, I love When Harry Met Sally almost as much as I do The Godfather. See ya, LBBBB
