Well, did they ever make a great album post Some Girls? Tattoo You was a brief glimmer, but that's about it. But I guess 17 years of classic albums is pretty impressive.

I'm thinking that the best known lines will also be titles of songs, eg "I Wanna Hold Your Hand" or "You've lost That Loving Feeling". When it comes to lyrics that are not titles, that's a different kettle of fish... LBB

Well, I would say that Let It Be is just not up to the Beatles' usual high standards. But I wouldn;t in any way agree that it's a bad album. I can think of at least four classic tracks on there, and that's not even counting The Long And Winding Road. A bit of a mixed bag, but with enough meaty goodness to make most other bands green. LBBB

Obvious, but not necessarily related to what the writer is trying to say. The important thing about my relationship with Francesca, for example, is that she is "by my side". Whether or not she is my wife is relatively unimportant to me, and more of a legal/societal matter than a personal one. Plus, "wife" would be a bit naff ;-) LBBBB

I recommend the original Sam Cooke. I've never yet heard anyone cover a Sam Cooke song that comes within a mile of the original. Otis' version of "Shake" maybe comes the closest ;-) LBBB
