  6. I love this song! Good picture too.
  7. I agree completely. Watchtower is one of Hendrix's and Dylan's best songs.
  8. How about Revolver by The Beatles or Blonde On Blonde by Bob Dylan?
  9. Some guy named Bruce Springsteen with some band called the E Street Band played sax in a song called "Jungleland."
  10. Blood On The Tracks is Bob Dylan's 18th released album. Recorded in 1974 and released in 1975, Tracks is one of Dylan's most autobiographical albums. All the songs seem to revolve around Dylan's split up with his wife Sara Dylan. This is shown through the feelings Dylan must of been feeling during the split up. This is shown through greatest hits like Tangled Up In Blue, fan favorites like Idiot Wind, Simple Twist of Fate, Shelter From The Storm, and You're A Big Girl Now. There are also the out of the ordinary songs, like If You See Her, Say Hello, Buckets Of Rain, Lily Rosemary and the Jack of Hearts, and You're Gonna Make Me Lonesome When You Go. All of these songs show an appreciation for things once had. Dylan's voice may be considered "bad" but in this album, no other voice make as many emotions to look for beauty and hope in the pain and dissapoint. Thought one of Dylan's and anybodys greatest albums, Blood On The Tracks is a gem in Bob Dylan's career.
  11. If anybody cares, this is what Rolling Stone magazine says: 1. Jimi Hendrix 2. Duane Allman 3. B.B. King 4. Eric Clapton 5. Robert Johnston 6. Chuck Berry 7. Stevie Ray Vaughan 8. Ry Cooder 9. Jimmy Page 10. Keith Richards
  12. Tangled Up In Blue and Idiot Wind are two of Dylan's best songs.
  13. This is the icing on the cake symbolizing The Beatles being the best band ever. That's all I have to say.
  14. I agree with you karma (except the part about locking him up). Bob Dylan has always been my hero an inspiration. If you don't believe me just look at my avatar.
  15. "If my words did glow with the gold of sunshine And my tunes were played on the harp unstrung, Would you hear my voice come thru the music, Would you hold it near as it were your own? It's a hand-me-down, the thoughts are broken, Perhaps they're better left unsung. I don't know, don't really care Let there be songs to fill the air. Ripple in still water, When there is no pebble tossed, Nor wind to blow. Reach out your hand if your cup be empty, If your cup is full may it be again, Let it be known there is a fountain, That was not made by the hands of men. There is a road, no simple highway, Between the dawn and the dark of night, And if you go no one may follow, That path is for your steps alone. Ripple in still water, When there is no pebble tossed, Nor wind to blow. You who choose to lead must follow But if you fall you fall alone, If you should stand then who's to guide you? If I knew the way I would take you home." Garcia and Hunter. Two of the best. R.I.P. Jerry
  16. Bob Dylan- Idiot Wind Grateful Dead- Uncle John's Band
  17. Bob Dylan and The Band (formerly The Hawks) make a nice combo.
  18. As surprising as it seems, I would be "Immigrant Song." No I don't, go storming western lands in Viking clothes. I take this song a little (o.k. a lot) differently. The beginning yells make me think of anger in being frusterated and feeling you aren't fulfilling your potential. The Vikings in the song are searching for new lands to conquer, as I am trying to adjust to normal life and changing schools.
  19. 1. Free Bird 2. Stairway To Heaven 3. All Along The Watchtower 4. November Rain 5. Eruption
  20. A month ago I would have said Led Zeppelin for sure. Now however, I'm not so sure. The Who were more famously known for smashing guitars, so I figured Zep would have my answer. But now I listen more to the actual music. The Who's complex keyboard riffs really complement The Who's rebelious songs and look. Plus, everyone loves a good old smashed guitar. That doesn't necessarily make The Who the winner. I don't think Led Zeppelin is the greatest band of all time (Beatles), but the're still up there. Zep has all the makings of a great rock band. Plant could sing with energy and scream like a rock star. Page is one of the best guitarists ever, and any band would benefit from him. Bonham could play the drums, period. Jones was a very flexible bass player, and the bass playeris the keystone of the band. Either one would be great to make a rockband game out of, but in the end I'm ging with: The Who.
  21. My favorite is A Day In Life. I love the way they jump right into from Sgt. Pepper's.
  22. 1. Jimi Hendrix 2. Eric Clapton 3. Jimmy Page 4. Slash 5. Carlos Santana 6. Eddie Van Halen 7. Keith Richards 8. Jerry Garcia 9. B. B. King 10. George Harrison
