It seems to defeat the purpose of voting if you should be required to vote for something from a certain time unless the contest is for a certain year. It doesn't make sense to me to vote for a song I don't particularly care for just to meet a standard. Unfortunately, I like almost all music except for hard rock, rap and opera and there is even some good in that. One of my favs is Avril Lavigne and she is just a kid but love her music.

fantastic list cj. I love every one of them including Celine and I do listen to her and buy her cds. She has an amazing voice. This voting seems to get harder and harder.

Mr. Tamborine Man- Bob Dylan (1965) Broken Wings-Bryan Adams Broken Wings was released this year on his album "11".

For my 1st nomination, I would like to nominate Bryan Adams. I first got hooked on Bryan Adams when I heard his song Straight From The Heart. It wasn't his first song by any means but it was the first one that I really paid attention to. He is a singer, songwriter, musician and photographer. He was born November 5, 1959 in Kingston, Ontario Canada. He had photos published in Vouge, Vanity Fair and Haper's Bazaar among others. He also done a book of photos with Calvin Klein, the proceeds of which were donated to Cancer research. He done another one in Canada for the same cause.
