Hi fellow music fans! I'm Shelly and i am 35 years old and i live in Minnesota. My favorite kind of music is rock but i like a little bit of other kinds. My favorite eras are 70's,80's,90's,and new stuff. I joined this site because I can talk about music 24/7 (lol literally,sometimes i get so carried away i can't make myself go to bed!) so its good to be here and i hope i make a few friends. This is a very interesting question! I think that there are no set rules for what kind of personality goes with any type of musical taste...i know 55 year old ministers who like Poison! And 14 year old girls who like country that my mom grew up listening to. I've always been shy and quiet so people would be amazed to know i like bands such as Marilyn Manson. And i love to rock out hard but that don't mean i dont have my share of Britney Spears or Christina Aguilera. I think musical taste does not reflect your personality or vice versa...there are exceptions to every rule therefore rules don't apply.

Well i feel like the only person in the world who realizes that there is no such thing as bad music,there are only opinions! That's like saying "ugh i'm sick of everyone painting their house gray! That color sucks!" Do you realize how stupid that sounds? As much as music unifies us,i still can't believe most music fans can't respect each other's opinions.

I'm a noob here so i thought this would be a good post to start out with! My very first concert was Tesla and Def Leppard in 1988. I've been to somewhere around 120 concerts,i havent counted lately but i know its well over 100. The last one i went to was Red Jumpsuit Aparatus. The next one i'm going to is From First To Last. Some of the other recent bands i've seen were The Academy Is,Lillian Axe,Fall Out Boy,Nickelback,Poison,The Killers,Switchfoot,Relient K,Tool,30 Seconds To Mars,and HIM.
