Hey HD. Been busy, busy, busy. Work, kids, you name it. Hopefully I'll be able to pop in a little more often now.

My favorite songs are (no particular album): "Sea of Sorrow" "Sunshine" "Rain When I Die" "Dam That River" "Would?" "Grind" "Again"

The first one is "Bound for the Floor" by Local H off of their "As Good As Dead" CD. The singer is male so I don't know if Jewel or some other female singer has redone it.

I will agree that Alice in Chains and Soundgarden never got the credit they deserved. I listened to them a whole lot more than I ever listened to Nirvana. I own one Nirvana album (guess which one), while I have all the AIC and SG ones. One other note, why does everybody like "Black Hole Sun"? I hate that song. I hate the video even more. I would much rather listen to "Outshined", "Jesus Christ Pose", "Slaves and Bulldozers", "Superunknown", etc. Just wondering what the appeal is.

If you're referring to the "Message in a Box" set, it's not on there. This version was first done by Sting as a solo artist, I believe.

Favorite music DVD I have is U2 Go Home: Live from Slane Castle. Phenomenal concert. Rattle and Hum is a great one too. Can you tell I'm a U2 fan? Pre DVD favorites would have to be The Police Synchronicity Concert at The Omni in Atlanta and The Alarm: Spirit of '86. I was a big INXS fan back in the day and caught a portion of one of their concerts on a DirecTV freeview not too long ago. Not sure if it's on video or DVD, it probably is. My God, the people in the crowd. Tens of thousands of them. I believe it was at Wembley Stadium. A very electric concert to say the least.

ECD means Enhanced CD. It will play in all normal CD players and you should be able to record the audio files to your computer providing there's no ecncryption software on the disc to prevent you from doing this. It can be played in a CD-ROM drive as well. The audio tracks on an ECD are the same as on a normal CD. What the enhanced term means is that there is some other stuff on the disc as well that can be accessed via your computer. These are usually things such as video clips, screensavers, pictures, etc. Hope this answers your questions.

I did a google search and "Tantra" was the only source for this acoustic version that I could find. I'm a huge Police fan but have not been interested in much of Sting's work during the last several years. I knew that I had heard this "acoustic" version many times in concert, but didn't know where to find an actual recording of it.

I'm with you on this one, Catherine. Sounds like the person has met somebody that wants to start a relationship with them. The person sings this to them trying to explain the hurt they are feeling because of this past relationship and that it is impeding them from diving into this potential new relationship. Cat Stevens did it first, then Rod Stewart, and now Sheryl Crow has a version out.

Cheap Trick also made a cameo appearance in the Eddie Murphy film "Daddy Daycare". Yes I have kids! Why else would I see this movie??

From what I can remember, it is about guitarist Jerry Cantrell's father. His father served in the Vietnam war and had the nickname "Rooster". However, this is probably one of the few Alice in Chains song that is not about heroin.

I don't really have any information on those two songs. I do remember "Wait" taking a while to chart. I remember seeing the video on MTV for what seemed like forever before the song ever caught on and got radio airplay. White Lion was a great band. One of my favorites from the 80's.

LOS ANGELES, California (Hollywood Reporter) -- The American Film Institute said Tuesday it will honor the songs of Hollywood in its ongoing celebration of American movies with "AFI's 100 Years ... 100 Songs: America's Greatest Music in the Movies," a three-hour special to be broadcast next year. The event will count down the greatest movie songs as chosen by experts in the film community, including directors, screenwriters, actors, editors, cinematographers, critics and historians. The countdown will air in June on CBS, marking the seventh such television special. AFI already has begun the jury process by distributing a ballot with 400 nominated songs to a 1,500-strong jury. The list includes such songs as "Somewhere Over the Rainbow" (from "The Wizard of Oz"), "As Time Goes By" ("Casablanca"), "Singin' in the Rain" ("Singin' in the Rain"), "Moon River" ("Breakfast at Tiffany's"), "The Way We Were" ("The Way We Were"), "It Had to Be You" ("When Harry Met Sally ..."), "Say a Little Prayer" ("My Best Friend's Wedding"), "Take My Breath Away" ("Top Gun") and "Lose Yourself" ("8 Mile").

No doubt it's a great feature and a wonderful idea. Plus, I can check out songfacts on songs that I necessarily wouldn't be looking for. Broaden my horizons and stuff like that!

By the songs being listed on the Top 10 list on the Songfacts homepage, does this not increase the number of hits they receive? It seems like this would restrict the list from changing throughout the day. Does this question make sense? I will generally look at the Songfacts for the songs featured on the Top 10 list. These are songs that I generally wouldn't necessarily want to look at, but do. It seems like the list itself would perpetuate these songs staying on the list.

I'm trying to think of a song my cousin played for me many years ago that Clint sang. I believe it was an album of another artist that featured duets with different people. Each song had someone different singing. This song had to do with "smoking the hive", which I believe is in reference to the bee-keeping profession. They use the smoke to calm the bees down before they extract the honey from the hive. Honey as a metaphor? Gee that hasn't been done before!! Anyway, I belive this song was from the 80's or early 90's. Can anyone help me remember what this was?
