  1. They're still together although I haven't heard anything from them in quite a while either.
  2. I'll try not to take offense to the Bono comment. How about "Closer" by NIN. Then again, that song would just clarify your intentions a little bit huh?
  3. Hey Muzik, Yeah it was a "Special Edition" DVD or something like that. I rented it at Blockbuster. I think there are some subtle differences throughout the movie too, but nothing major. The ending is totally different. Let me know what you think after you see it.
  4. I thought it was a very good movie. One of my recent favorites. As for all you Ashton-bashers out there....I have a very strong dislike for Ashton (bordering on hate), but I saw the movie anyway. I think he did a pretty good job. Even if you don't like him, see the movie anyway. The story's that good. Has anyone seen the director's cut? It was on the flip side of the DVD that I rented. It has a different ending. I was wondering which one people liked the most. As for me, I prefer the theatrical release's ending the best.
  5. Shake Your Money Maker - The Black Crowes Ten - Pearl Jam Facelift - Alice in Chains Core - Stone Temple Pilots New Miserable Experience - The Gin Blossoms Naveed - Our Lady Peace
  6. Did you guys know that the HOT and CRAZY chick is Zombie's wife?
  7. I can't believe I missed this post. I love OLP. I have never figured out why they aren't more popular. Their biggest hit was "Clumsy" and "Is Anybody Home" was fairly popular. I've only seen them in concert twice as they don't get down this way much. The last time I saw them was in Birmingham, AL, and Raine said he thought it was cool that people all the way down in Alabama liked their music. I know that they are pretty popular in Canada. They seem to win a Juno award pretty regularly. Seems like I heard that they are the only major label Canadian band that has sold more albums in Canada than in the U.S.
  8. Pretty in Pink The Crow Singles Rattle and Hum (Is this a soundtrack? Close enough!!) Brimstone and Treacle The Lost Boys
  9. I think he peeked with "The Sixth Sense". "Signs" was OK. I didn't like it as much as everybody else I talked to did. Did anybody see "Unbreakable"? I'm still trying to figure out my opinion on that one. I'm such a big Bruce Willis fan, so that's probably clouding my judgement.
  10. God what an awful movie. It reminded me a lot of the original Texas Chainsaw Massacre in the way it was filmed. I didn't fall asleep. I kept saying to myself "This has GOT to get better". It never did.
  11. Train's version of "Ramble On" is awesome. Lead singer Pat Monahan was in a Zepplin cover band when he was younger.
  12. I believe they have been talking about making this movie for some time now. I had heard at one time that they were thinking of casting Cindy Crawford for the role. Anyone who has seen her movie "Fair Game" knows that would have been a serious casting mistake. She's nothing more than eye candy.
  13. I wasn't aware that the song was about his mom. I've never heard that.
  14. 16. Flawless indeed. I can understand how Dwight Yoakam's voice would grate on someone's nerve. If it wasn't for his songwriting, I probably wouldn't like him as much. My wife can't stand Raine Maida's voice. As for myself, I would have to list Madonna, Bob Dylan, Justin Timberlake, Michael Jackson, and Anthony Keidis.
  17. U2 did a version of "Dancing Queen". I believe it was a b-side to one of their singles.
  18. Was it "Come Anytime"? I was just looking at their Discography and that name popped out at me. I know that the song was off Magnum Cum Louder.
  19. I was a huge INXS fan back in the 80's and early 90's. Midnight Oil and Crowded House were also favorites. I did have one album by the Hoodoo Gurus called "Magnum Cum Louder". I actually saw them in concert about 10 years ago at a local college. They were opening for Drivin' N Cryin', I believe.
  20. Edie Brickell is married to Paul Simon. Lisa had a long relationship with Dweezil Zappa, I believe. They called it quits a few months ago.
  21. I don't think it's a publicity scam. U2 doesn't need one. It reminds me of the story about someone stealing Bono's lyric book right before recording their second album, "October". Seems like they would've learned their lesson.
  22. From CNN.com PARIS, France -- Irish rock band U2 have called in the police after a copy of songs from their new CD disappeared while they were posing for the cover photo. An unfinished copy of the group's upcoming CD disappeared while the Irish rock band was posing for the album cover in a studio outside Nice, southern France. About 20 people who were at Tuesday's photo shoot were questioned by police, who told The Associated Press it was unclear whether the CD's disappearance was accidental or theft. "A large slice of two years work lifted via a piece of round plastic. It doesn't seem credible but that's what's just happened to us... and it was my CD.," guitarist Edge told the band's official Web site. The CD contained tracks to be included on their new album, the first in four years, tipped to be called Vertigo. According to U2.com, the band recently completed much of the recording of the much-awaited new album in Dublin and have been involved in post-production work in France. It was to be the first new studio album from U2 since "All That You Can't Leave Behind" nearly four years ago. "The recording of this album has been going so well," added Paul McGuinness of Principle Management. "The band is so excited about its release. It would be a shame if unfinished work fell into the wrong hands." "This matter is of great concern to us," said Lucian Grainge, Chairman and CEO of Universal Music Group UK. "As the missing CD is our property, we're very keen find it as soon as possible and the French police are being extremely helpful in this regard." Reports say the new album could end up on the Internet where fans would be able to download it for free -- costing the band and the record company millions in lost revenue.
