  1. About five years ago, Idaho Potato's spokespud, Spuddy Buddy, used to sing it as "Nobody makes a great french fry, like I do", etc. It was pretty cute. He even had back-up singers who were still stuck in the ground. I can't believe it's not on YouTube yet.
  2. Come to think of it, it would have to be more recent- because he's wearing his wedding ring. Some website, I don't remember which one, was saying that it was taken the same time as the "Chaos And Creation" album cover photo, and I noticed some similarities. That obviously must be wrong. Plus, the headphones look too modern than what they'd have in the fifties.Odd how it's practically a google-whack when you search about it.
  3. Does anyone remember the 1982 Paul McCartney "Tug Of War" album? I find its cover interesting. I heard somewhere that the picture was a family photo taken when he was 15 years old, but the credits say that the photography was by his wife, Linda. Since she didn't know him when he was 15, is the photo really taken when he was 40, like I heard somewhere else? I've done some internet searches on it, but nothing really comes up.
  4. You could always try doing an internet search on one of those songs, be really specific. Chances are somebody else is either asking the same question or telling others how to play it. Piano keyboards can make all sorts of different instrument sounds, and there are magazines/websites devoted to replicating certain songs. You might find someone in a more specific forum that would know.
  5. "(I'm Not Your) Steppin' Stone" by The Monkees, would also be a good fit.
  6. -Who's that band on the stage? Who -The band on the stage! Who -You're starting to sound like an owl, kid. Seriously though, doesn't The Who now have Oasis' drummer with them now? That would be cool.
  7. Maybe he'll sing "Cafe On The Left Bank"! (..English speaking people, drinking German beer...) Wasn't there a post on this site a couple of months ago, saying that he was retiring from touring? I knew it wasn't true.
  8. Paul McCartney's The End Of The End, http://www.songfacts.com/detail.php?id=9658 George Harrison's "Stuck Inside A Cloud", Never slept so little Never smoked so much Lost my concentration I could even lose my touch Talking to myself Crying out loud Only I can hear me I'm stuck inside a cloud I made some exhibition I lost my will to eat The only thing that matters to me is to touch your lotus feet Talking to myself Crying out loud Only I can hear me I'm stuck inside a cloud Talking to myself Crying out loud Only I can hear me And i'm stuck inside a cloud Talking to myself Crying out loud Only I can hear me I'm stuck inside a cloud Never been so crazy But I've never felt so sure I wish I had the answer to give Don't even have the cure Just talking to myself crying as we part Knowing as you leave me I also lose my heart Talking to myself crying as we part Knowing as you leave me I also lose my heart and Hanson's "With You In Your Dreams" are my personal favorites. If I'm gone when you wake up Please don't cry And if I'm gone when you wake up It's not goodbye Don't look back at this time as a time Of heartbreak and distress Remember me, remember me 'Cause I'll be with you in your dreams Oh I'll be with you, oh oh But If I'm gone when you wake up Please don't cry And if I'm gone when you wake up Don't ask why Don't look back at this time As a time of heartbreak and distress Remember me, remember me 'Cause I'll be with you in your dreams Oh oh Don't cry, I'm with you Don't cry, I'm by your side Don't cry, I'm with you Don't cry, I'm by your side And though my flesh is gone, whoa I'll still be with you at all times And although my body's gone, oh I'll be there to comfort you at all times Oh oh But If I'm gone when you wake up Please don't cry And if I'm gone when you wake up Don't ask why Don't look back at this time As a time of heartbreak and distress Remember me, remember me 'Cause I'll be with you I'll be with you in your dreams Oh, I'll be with you Oh I'll be with you in your dreams I'll be with you I'll be with you I don't want you to cry and weep, oh I want you to go on living your life I'm not sleeping an endless sleep, oh 'Cause in your heart You have all of our good times Oh, all of our good times Oh oh you have And if I'm gone when you wake up Don't ask why Don't look back at this time As a time of heartbreak and distress Remember me, remember me 'Cause I'll be with you in your dreams Oh I'll be with you in your dreams I'll be with you Oh I'll be with you I'll be with you in your dreams I'll be with you in your dreams...
  9. This is the website to jack FM, http://www.jack.fm/listen/ If you click the link to your local station, it'll take you to its website, which may have a "what we just played" section. If you heard the song within 24 hours and know when you heard it, it'll tell you what it was. The Click 5 has a song called "Say Goodnight" that's chorus is "Say Goodnight, I'll be gone tomorrow, won't you say goodnight..." that seems close to it. Was it a slow paced song with a male singer?

    OASIS SPLIT!!!

I seen them in concert last December, and I told everyone then I just had to go because it could be the last chance to see them...I guess I was right. Because I am an "only child", I never could understand how siblings could grow to hate each other, but perhaps all this will just make them reform together better in the future? Very sad news, nonetheless. Oasis is one of my favorite bands.
  11. That article doesn't know what it's talking about. McCartney was born on June 18th, 1942, making him currently 67. Also, I read an interview with him somewhere recently where he said he wasn't retiring.
  12. You could always make videos of them somehow and post them to YouTube, or get a Myspace, Facebook, etc. account. There's also "Snowfish", which is like Myspace, but just for creative people. Last I checked it was in "beta", so they weren't letting a lot of people in yet. Here's a link anyways, http://snowfish.com/c/loggedOut/index.seam;jsessionid=A0CD66B15AB47E5AAAFB3D9B5BC55E37?cid=12655 Songfacts has a forum for creative writing, too. You could post some to that. Good luck!
  13. I know it isn't a new song, but perhaps it could be The Beatles' "Savoy Truffle"? The chorus says tangerine in it quite a bit. Creme tangerine and montelimat A ginger sling with a pineapple heart A coffee dessert, yes, you know it's good news But you'll have to have them all pulled out After the Savoy truffle Cool cherry cream and a nice apple tart I feel your taste all the time we're apart Coconut fudge really blows down those blues But you'll have to have them all pulled out After the Savoy truffle You might not feel it now But when the pain cuts through You're going to know and how The sweat is going to fill your head When it becomes too much You're going to shout aloud But you'll have to have them all pulled out After the Savoy truffle. You know that what you eat you are But what is sweet now, turns so sour We all know Ob-La-Di-Bla-Da But can you show me, where you are? Creme tangerine and montelimat A ginger sling with a pineapple heart A coffee dessert--yes you know it's good news But you'll have to have them all pulled out After the Savoy truffle Yes you'll have to have them all pulled out After the Savoy truffle
  14. Not many people realize this, but "This Time Around" by Hanson is written from the view of a solider who's saying that he/she will die for what he/she believes in. It's getting colder In this ditch where I lie I'm feeling older And I'm wondering why I heard they told her It was tell and live or die I didn't know her But I know why she lied I didn't know her But I know why she died Yeah You can't say, I didn't give it I won't wait, another minute On our way, this time around Whoa yeah You can't say, I didn't give it I won't wait, another minute On our way, this time around Yeah And we won't go down Yeah I heard them say that dreams Should stay in your head Well I feel ashamed of The things that I've said Put on these chains And you can live a free life Well I'd rather bleed Just to know why I died Yeah And we won't go down And we won't go down Yeah And we won't go down Yeah Well all I know is That fear has got to go This time around This time around Well I've started feeling Like I don't want to fight Give in to the giving And put out the light Cannons are blazin' Shower these moonlit skies Then I remember And I know why he died Do you know why I died? Yeah And we won't go down And we won't go down And we won't go down Yeah Wouldn't it be nice if we all picked a song to dedicate to a veteran we know or are inspired by? I guess that would be in another thread, though. I'd personally dedicate that song to my great uncle Orbie, who was an Army photographer in the Korean War. He always says that the government censored his photographs of the wounded because they were too graphic.
  15. I'm absolutely ecstatic to hear that! I adore Ben Romans and the click five and always felt they never gets the credit they deserve for their great songwriting skills. A while back, I suggested them on the "Up and coming indie bands for interview" page. I even saw them in concert once, at a mall before Kyle Patrick joined the group. They looked like they were having the time of their lives. I even made an unofficial fan website for them, but it needs updating. http://unofficialtheclickfivewebsite.bravehost.com/
