  2. Sorry, got side tracked.. No not posting a link, but will try to find one and post it ... BRB (I hope)... Jim
  3. Yea, I just barly remember the name, but none of music... Another one hit wonder like this one " Friends of Distinction" ; "Grazzin in the grass"........ Jim
  4. I had both of they'er albums back then (on LP's). lent them to friend(no longer a friend)who just wanted to make cassette tape copies... I later learned (after not hearing from him for a time), that he moved to Hawaii. Apperently he sold those two albums, and made enough to make the move... Stupid me........ I guess they where worth alot more than I thought..... But live and learn.. stupid, Jim
  5. Edna, your right, its not the Clap in reverse note for note.. But if you are able to play the song on guitar, It becomes apparent (at least to me) that alot of those riffs (as played by Steve in that vid) when reversed, mimic alot of the riffs in "The Clap" Jim
  6. Edna, thanks for the link. I have read very simular interviews, but hav'nt seen that one... Jim
  7. Lucky, I got my info from Mark himself. The person that posted the stuff about about the drug abuse states, he was told that story by his father. Who his father is and where he got that story, I have no clue... Jim
  8. Did anyone happen to read (out on the main) the msg re: Grand Funk RR, under the "Closer to Home" cat... about the band being heroin addicts?. I made a few posts there, but there have been no replys thus far... If any of you folks have read this, I'm just curious of your take on this subject. Having met Mark Farner personally, I know that they were all dead set against drugs. Mark was beaten up (badly) in Flint, Mi.., simply because he had long hair, and therefore considered a hippie, drug crazed musician. Hence the deformity in his face around the mouth area. Luckely this had no effect on his ability to sing. And he is a fantastic singer (IMHO), as well as highly under-rated guitarist... Any opinions, or comments? Jim
  9. I have a hard enough time playing The "Clap" forward.. This is insane, I cant even bring myself to try it.. Apparently Steve got bored, and decided to try and confuse people. (Great job)... btw/ this is obviously a pirate vid, so the quality aint so good, but sound is good enough to get the idea.... Jim
  10. Edna, the album covers are fantasic, I have several large poster copies at home... , And they were done by Rodger Dean..... I found a really obscure video of Steve Howe (in Japan) playing the "Clap" backwards. I'm trying to find it again. If and when I do I will post the link..... Jim
  11. Glad to see there are Yes fans around.....I cruzed around the forum and didnt see anything, so I thought I'd ask.. I never missed a show when they played Philadelphia. Edna, Mood for day may be a piece of art, but "The Clap" is a hell of alot harder to play......lol Jim
  12. Anybody remember these guys? Lothar and the hand people....http://www.westword.com/2000-03-16/music/give-the-people-a-hand/
  13. This ? is like "What came first, the chicken or the egg" It cant be answered. Its a matter of opinion. And IMHO just a waste of time...
