  1. Edna, Thought I had already told you thanks for posting the link. Just noticed I didn't until I felt like listening to it yet again. Had it on my favs but lost it. I love it thank you Is it just me or does he look alot like David Gilmore when he was younger?
  2. I am a huge Beatles fan and if you think about what else was offered as far as music or bands go back when all that craziness (as Ringo called it)was happening, who do you think could have become what The Beatles ultimately became? Ringo was a perfect fit for that band and if you know anything about The Beatles at all you'd know he could never have been replaced and the other members didn't even try when he did walk out on them. They needed him for more then just his drumming abilities. If you go on YouTube they have a lot of great interviews with The Beatles and if you watch the studio recordings you can see the study decline of the band. It's sad. I won't ramble on to much about the The Beatles but like I said I am a huge fan. But check out the lyrics to Handle With Care by The Traveling Wilburys. I'm sure anyone who knows of them knows George Harrison was a primary member of this group. One of my fav songs by them I might add
  3. I studied RandH in music apprisiation in high school. Loved the class enough to remember those guys. It was my fav class that year Oh Shawna your gonna hate me for this...but since I joined this site I keep wondering who the hottie is you use as an avie. Like I said Laurie you have very good taste
  4. I would have to say Rodger Waters. Love Lennon to but I think Waters is my all time fav.

    Dexter

I haven't seen it but wanted to . Is the show based on the book Darkly Dreaming Dexter? I have the book on audio and loved it. I was hoping Jeff Lindsay, the author would make a series of it. So far I have found only the one book with Dexter in it. I listen to ALOT of audio books at work. I currently have 172 audio books and have listened to all of them but about ten. Oh wait, I forgot about my moms 169 audio books. I've listened to all of them as well lol. I gave Darkly Dreaming Dexter 4 out of 5 stars. That's a high rating coming from me

  9. Forever Autumn By:Moody Blues The summer sun is fading as the year grows old And darker days are drawing near The winter winds will be much colder Now you're not here I WATCH the birds fly south across the Autumn sky And one by one they DISAPPEAR I wish that I was flying WITH them Now you're not here Like the SUN through the trees you came to love me Like a leaf on the breeze you blew away Through Autumn's golden gown we used to kick our way You always loved this time of year Those fallen leaves lie undisturbed now Cause you're not here (3x) (Instrumental break) Like the SUN through the trees you came to love me Like a leaf on the breeze you blew away A gentle rain falls softly on my weary eyes As if to hide a lonely tear My life will be forever Autumn Cause you're not here (repeat)
  10. Sleepwalk by Santo And Johnny Beautiful song.
  11. Eric Burdon and War - Spill the Wine Pink Floyd - Run Like Hell
  12. Your Score:38% I got a higher score then I expected lol I should have done better but I just love the older stuff from the 60's. I was in hi-school in the 70's but I didn't know any of the answers to those questions.
  13. I was gonna post to this thread and tell you guys you all are just to funny and then I read Bitter Almonds post and it just freaked me out and so disapointed me. Sooo.. I decided to YouTube abit and then I found "sniff" this "sob" Todd Rundgren I think I'll just go to bed now
  14. Thanks Edna, I had googled it several times when I thought about it over the years and never found anything. It makes me wonder if maybe someone used his words and wrote a poem around it. Stuff like that happens a lot and I was highschool age. If I recall it had like four versus to it but now I wonder if maybe his words weren't incorporated into someone else's poem. And we all know what that's called don't we.
  15. I don't know why I didn't think of asking you guys this. If anyone would know it would be you guys. These words have ran through my head for a good part of my life. Since I was about 15 or so I guess and I'm as old as dirt now. All I can remember is this much: I remember a time when everyone I loved hated me because I loved them,so what, so what, so ******* what I think the last words of the last line is: so what, so what, so nitty, nitty what. But, I'm not sure. I was told it was a poem Lennon wrote but I have never been able to find the rest of it or it's origins and believe me I've tried. Anyone ever hear of it? It's probably something easy and I just don't know where to look. I would love to read the whole thing again. Anybody know anything about it??
  16. This is kind of a mean question for a die hard Beatles fan such as myself Just one huh...it so depends on my mood. Believe it or not I think I have to go with A Little Help From My Friends. That is the best song Ringo ever did then or now IMHO. They should have let him sing more songs like that one. I love the sound of his voice. I had to think hard on this and was going to go with I'm Only Sleeping. An easier question would have been which is my least favorite
  17. Sorry don't have the songs and to be honest I have never heard of the group. But I did find them on youtube. The Boys Lea
  18. Well everybody knows it was the chicken cause when God was createn he didn't say anything about no eggs hehehehe
  19. Thanks for recommending that edna I had seen it listed but because of the title I didn't bother with it. Didnt think I'd like it. But, I really like it lol. Alot. added it to my favs. I'm new so don't really know how to do the top ten thing. As soon as I figure it out, I'll check it out. Being a Pink Floyd fan I gotta add this one and it's late and I'm alone and The Floyd helps me get through the night it's called Cymbaline. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=wk2K4a0GUqQ&mode=related&search= Super Ry, I never for some reason noticed the album thing. Your right, it is annoying lol. Love the song tho. My classic station never plays it. They are pretty good about not being redundant tho Lea
  20. Glad you liked the vid Super Ry. Here's another one that I love. When I was in Hi-school I thought it was a guy singing this lol. To bad they don't make music like this any more. I was looking around the site for other music video's others have posted and most of the ones I wanted to check out have been removed YouTude seems to do that a lot. I have found some really great ones people have posted here tho. Some that I forgot were even out there. I still have several posts to go though but it gives me something to do when insomnia hits Lea
  21. And I love this one too: "Sorrow" - Bowie-Amanda Lear
  22. Not as far as I know Shawna but I was listening to this: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=LxS85aTxgI0 as I was typing might have had a little bit to do with my confusing post lol.
  23. Glad you guys liked the vids. Finding YouTube video's is a hobby of mine. 10cc was an awesome band. I have the vinyl album, How Dare You. It has Art for Arts sake on it. It's a great album. Yeah, I still have record albums. :happybanana: I've found a lot video's from 10cc on YouTube. That really surprised me. There are two others I'd love to see but have never found video's for them so they probably don't exit. If anyone ever runs across Headroom or I wanna Rule the World please let me know. I'm thinking video's for those two were never made. I love the way they played with words. Here is another great one by them. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=DaEfAyEQNvk I was never a huge Rare Earth fan but Midnight Confessions has always been one of my favorite songs. I think a lot of the TV performances back then were lip sync'd now days it could ruin a career lol. Kevin, sorry don't know your friend InvisibleR. Jane, I found the avie on LJ I think and then put my name on it. If you'd like to have it, I'll put the orig. up and you can snag it As a rule I make my own but had to grab this one. Glad you guys enjoyed the video's. I get bored a lot in the dark of the night and am happy to share my links. Peace Lea
  24. I'm bored. Anyone have any YouTube music vid links they wanna share? I should warn you I have lots I'll share this one: and this one: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=gCdGqed6Ajg anyone have any favorite classics I may not have seen? I have ALOT of Pink Floyd and Beatles. Anyone have a link they wanna share? I'll watch them. Promise. Lea
  25. I need to ask this. Sorry. If the the Stones had split at the same time as The Beatles did and stopped performing together as a band, would this debate even be a thought? Would the Stones as individuals have the same success as ALL The Beatles did? Sorry but I honestly don't think they would. And thanks for the welcome Lea
