  1. 8/10 - Always been a nice tune to hear on AM radio. (Anyway, I need a quick lesson on adding text to links - anyone?) "Blood Red Summer" by Coheed And Cambria
  2. Max Webster Marvelous 3 Paul Westerberg Galactic Cowboys Frank Marino & Mahogany Rush
  3. My apologies if someone else mentioned my example (I've been reading so much today that I need a bit of a break ) Queen - Bohemian Rhapsody ... anyway the wind blows... That line has stuck with me for over 30 years. It's been such an influence on my writing/poetry that I often repeat lines in the same vein (to be honest, I might of repeated lines before I heard that tune but I gotta give something the credit )
  4. Thank you I debated most of the day whether or not to mention my old self. Before I finally registered here, I did actually try to log in previously under that nic but to no avail.
  5. 7.5/10 - I'm rating it high for the man in black. I love his covers but I don't think (Rick) Rubin produced (Johnny) correctly/appropriately. The piano is mixed way too back. Winger - Down Incognito
  6. No problem. And, they may be exactly right! I'd believe it since it's almost the same progression right down to the swing/beat... even the drum intro.
  7. I'm still in the process of dl'ing my tunes to my player (so far I only have 3,912 tunes). The 'Top 25' right now are - 1) Nice Weather for Ducks [Lemon Jelly] 2) Pieces of April [Three Dog Night] 3) Time Bomb [Lake] 4) She's the One [World Party] 5) Moonlight Feels Right [starbuck] 6) You're Like the Wind [Prism] 7) Hey Jude [The Beatles] 8) I Don't Need Your Love [Aereogramme] 9) Woman [Wolfmother] 10) Don't Ya Hide It [stonebolt] 11) Sometime in the Morning [The Monkees] 12) My Sweet Lord [George Harrison] 13) Crystal Blue Persuasion [Tommy James & the Shondells] 14) You Never Will [iQ] 15) Symptom of the Universe (live 1975) [black Sabbath] 16) I Should Have Known Better (UK mono) [The Beatles] 17) The Shy Retirer [Arab Strap] 18) Lonely Days [The Bee Gees] 19) Summertime Girls [Y & T] 20) Who's Behind the Door [Zebra] 21) Mudmen [Pink Floyd] 22) American's Veins [Max Webster] 23) Delirious, Where Have You Been? [by the End of Tonight] 24) Smoke on the Water / Mamma Mia [The Black Sweden] 25) Candy [The Astors]
  8. Hi all, Call this a second coming. I used to be known as - http://forum.songfacts.com/showuser.php?uid/20419/ No more! If you checked out that link, I use to be known as 'ant'. Personally, I couldn't stand it but it stuck. I took more than a couple years sabbatical from the internet and I've vowed that whenever the day I do come back, no more 'ant'. Earlier last year, my Mother passed away and then almost five months later, my Dad also passed away. It was not a very good year. Late last year, just before I finally returned to the internet, my Sweetie and I were cruising in the car and I asked her about my little dilemma (regarding a new username) and explained that since Mom and Dad have passed away, I really just wanted to start off fresh. She uttered 'Berjo' almost instantly and at first, I thought it had to do with just my Dad's name but she said it's a combination of both my Mom and Dad's first names. I LOVED IT! To me, it's a canonization for my parents. Anyway, it's just a user name but I prefer to be called my real name, Pete. That's it. P.S. Yes, it took me over a half year to come back here once I entered the realm of the internet once again but I've been really busy with other (net) duties. I now have the time and I've already submitted a songfact (a Beatles tune of course). I'm pretty sure I'll be submitting plenty more.
  9. oh oh, not another using wiki as a reliable source... It's okay, I have nothing against you. In my line of work, wiki and allmusic I regard as last resorts for accurate information. However, it doesn't mean that both sites are 100% erroneous. Other than that, (wiki) can be a fun & entertaining site.
  10. Thank you for the welcome. Actually, I used to be a member here a long ways back but want to start off fresh. My last post from my old user-name was close to 3 years ago. It sure doesn't feel like it's been 3 years, that's for sure.
  11. Album reviews isn't about quantity, but quality. Some writers are gifted at concise descriptions and can pack a wallop in a paragraph or maybe two. On the other hand, a long thorough review can also be the icing on the cake. That's my view so therefore, I don't judge on quantity.
  12. If there ever was a travesty regarding ripping off a tune, it's Green Day "Warning" over The Kink's "Picture Book." Why Ray Davies hasn't sued GD is beyond me.
  13. My first post in almost 3 years. My favourite living drummers would be - Ian Paice (Deep Purple) Jaki Liebezeit (Can) Ringo Starr Lee Kerslake (especially with 'Uriah Heep') Jim Fox (James Gang) Tim 'Herb' Alexander (Primus) Josh Eppard (Coheed & Cambria) J.D. Romero (Spitalfield) Don Brewer (Grand Funk) Pete Rivera (Rare Earth) pete
