  1. I was inside for most of the weekend because of the weather and watched more TV than usual. I was dumbfounded when I kept running across movies from the "Halloween" series. Maybe it's just me ,but seeing Michael Myers chase after topless teenage girls is something I enjoy in October, not December.
  2. I enjoyed his music and he will be missed.
  3. Take Me Home Tonight - Eddie Money with Ronnie Spector (1986) Movin' Out(Anthony's Song) - Billy Joel (1976)
  4. Say what you will but in no way does Madonna deserve to be there. No way. John Mellencamp congrats.
  5. I think the term classic rock came to be to describe certain music played on certain radio stations, usually music from the 60's and 70's. But not every song in that era was a "classic".
  6. Didn't sidewalk Santa's used to ring the bell for the charity with the red change bucket because the last few I have seen have been manned with a couple of granny's who were freezin' their baguettes off. Btw,freezin' baguettes is another line from the movie "Christmas Vacation".
  7. I must be out of touch with the movie world these days because I hardly know any of these actresses and only a couple of the movies. Are you sure sex sells these days? I also wonder if "Mr.Skin" is on Ronjons saved favorites?
  8. Well it's supposed to be in the 40's today but a winter storm is fast approaching from the east which means Walmart is being invaded by those getting bread, milk and the like because they are sure life as we know it is about to end.
  9. Watch out everybody. The devine Ms. Peach has gone Viking on us.
  10. I'm not sure you can call a song a "classic" if it doesn't get played. To me that may mean it's a classic to you but not to very many others. In that case we all have hundreds of songs we think as being classic to ourselves. For me,I would chose "Rumbleseat" by John Mellencamp which gets hardly any airplay and never has, especially compared to his other hits like "Hurts So Good","Jack and Diane" and "Small Town". I chose "Nights In White Satin" earlier when I thought this thread was about the classic songs that get played the least. But then again,I don't listen to much radio these days either.
  11. I guess since Paris doesn't leave the TV on this also means she no longer leaves camcorders running either. And if she wants to save the environment for us I have a helpful hint for her when it comes to noise pollution. Don't make any more albums.
  12. All I can think about when I hear his name is that movie, which I like, and Fishburns portrayal of Turner, which was very good. As a side note, which version of "Proud Mary" is better? Ike and Tina's? Or CCR's?? Myself,I like Ike and Tina's the best even though I am a HUGE CCR fan. Love the slow beginning with Ike's low "Rollin'" then Tina exploding when the song takes off. Good stuff.

  14. Maybe being rauchy the night before can lead to not getting enough sleep. Or so I have heard.
  15. Come Together - The Beatles Will you go to the....
  16. Thanks Lucky. And you are right. Some great tunes to chose from so far.
  17. When I think of the movie Grease I think of my nephews wedding reception a few years ago and being slightly, well more than slightly, inebriated. The DJ put on the song "Greased Lightin'" and the wife of a friend and myself began doing the hand/arm motions that Danny and the T-Birds did in the garage while working on Kenickie's car while that song was playing. It wasn't long after Mrs. Blue told me to get in the car. Our car. Not Greased Lightin'.
