  1. Lois Griffin: You should spend some time with our kids, Peter. And with me. Peter Griffin: Uh, what could me and you do together? [Lois giggles] Peter Griffin: Lois. You've got a sick mind. Lois Griffin: Peter, I'm talking about making love. Peter Griffin: Oh. I thought you wanted us to murder the children and harvest their organs for beer money.
  2. Sonata Arctica is a pretty sweet band.. I've been listening to them and Stratovarius alot lately... I'd have to say one of my favourite songs by Sonata Arctica right now is Replica.
  3. The line up for the first run of The Sounds Of The Underground Tour is complete! - LAMB OF GOD - CLUTCH - POISON THE WELL - OPETH - FROM AUTUMN TO ASHES - UNEARTH - NORMA JEAN - EVERY TIME I DIE - CHIMAIRA - STRAPPING YOUNG LAD - HIGH ON FIRE - MADBALL - TERROR - A LIFE ONCE LOST - ALL THAT REMAINS - DEVILDRIVER - THE RED CHORD - FULL BLOWN CHAOS - F.B.T.M.O.F. - THE BLACK DAHLIA MURDER - NORA
  4. Having recently stumbled across the Yeah Yeah Yeahs and taking a liking to them. I am wondering if anyone knows of any other similar sounding bands out there?
  5. Sticking with the Canadian theme there was ?Four on the Floor? a short lived sketch comedy show in the mid 80?s with some of the funniest, most off-the-wall skits ever. Another great cult classic sketch show was ?SCTV? with John Candy, Joe Flaherty, Eugene Levy, Catherine O?Hara and the two greatest brothers ever, Bob and Doug McKenzie ? Rick Moranis and Dave Thomas. Don't touch that dial! Don't touch that one either! And stop touching yourself! SCTV is on the air! How about ?Beachcombers?, it ran throughout the 70?s and 80?s. I want to live on a houseboat, what an awesome show. There was also ?The Littlest Hobo? "There's a voice that keeps on calling me. Down the road. That's where I'll always be. Oh, every stop I make, I make a new friend. Can't stay for long. Just turn around, and I'm gone again. Maybe tomorrow, I'll want to settle down. Until tomorrow, I'll just keep movin' on. So, if you want to join me for awhile, just grab your hat, and we'll travel light. That's hobo style. Maybe tomorrow, I'll want to settle down. Until tomorrow, I'll just keep movin' on. Until tomorrow, the whole world is my home." And we sure cant forget Richard Dean Anderson and MacGyver, the things he could do with that Swiss Army Knife!
  6. Set to launch in late July, Gigantour is a six-week festival trek co-headlined by MEGADETH and DREAM THEATER, who'll be accompanied by other main-stage acts FEAR FACTORY, THE DILLINGER ESCAPE PLAN and NEVERMORE. Artists for the second stage will be announced in the coming weeks. Between Ozzfest and now Gigantour, there is going to be a whole slue of new and old metal for all to enjoy? bring on the summer!!
  7. Hey... Thanks... That would be great... I?m interested to see how the entire song sounds...
  8. The song in the new Adidas commercial I find to be quite catchy. I know the song is composed by Squeak E. Clean and featuring Karen O of the Yeah Yeah Yeahs, but I was wondering if there is more to that song? And if that style of music is more Squeak or Karen's influence? Thanks.
  9. I?m glad to see someone who shares the same shear hatred for ?Everybody Loves Raymond? I hate it with every fiber of my being, it?s the stupidest show on television. They keep crap like that on TV yet were on the verge of canceling Arrested Development, which I my mind is up there as one of the funniest shows on TV right now. TV executives, what goes through their minds?
  10. One of my favorite story themed songs, true story for that matter, is ?The Wreck Of The Edmund Fitzgerald? by Gordon Lightfoot. The SS Edmund Fitzgerald sank in Lake Superior 20 years ago. Gordon Lightfoot's song is a tribute to this shipwreck and the men who lost their lives. On November 10, 1975 the SS Edmund Fitzgerald sank in Lake Superior. All 29 crewmembers died. At the time, it was the worst shipping disaster on the Great Lakes. Sticking with Lightfoot, there is the song ?Black Day In July?, which was written after the 1967 Detroit riots. It began simply enough, police raided an illegal bar in the inner city, known as a ?Blind Pig? a place to get a drink after the bars closed. The rioting quickly spread to encompass over fourteen square miles of Detroit?s neighborhoods. Unlike earlier outbreaks, the ?67 riots were indiscriminate, mobs torched and plundered black businesses as freely as white ones and burned down a number of black homes. Both blacks and whites participated in looting, burning and rioting. Forty-three people lay dead by the time the 1967 Detroit riot ended five days later on July 28. Go Gordon!!
  11. In Flames rocks!!! And for all those out there that wanna see them live they are performing at Ozzfest this year with a bunch of other awesome bands!!!
  12. The North American metal scene is unfortunately dieing out. Some of the greatest metal bands to ever grace metal fan ears have never even played a date in this continent, e.g. Sentenced. Meanwhile over in Europe the metal scene is going strong with a huge fan base and great media support, while here in North America we are forced to listen to the latest bulls**t treads that corporate sponsors believe will make them move more product. One look at the lineup for WOA and various other major metal festivals Europe hosts and you quickly see that metal isn?t dead. It?s just not a big enough cash cow here in North America to be popular in a lot of peoples eyes.

  15. Speaking of metal, Ozzfest this year looks to have one of its most metalist "i know it's not a word but it works" line-ups in years. BLACK SABBATH, IRON MAIDEN, ROB ZOMBIE, KILLSWITCH ENGAGE, SHADOWS FALL, BLACK LABEL SOCIETY, AS I LAY DYING, MASTODON, THE HAUNTED, IN FLAMES, ARCH ENEMY, THE BLACK DAHLIA MURDER, BURY YOUR DEAD, SOILWORK, TRIVIUM, IT DIES TODAY and A DOZEN FURIES
