DING DING DING! Thats it! Thank you guys so much. I kept getting the melody stuck in my head and I could remember anything else but the melody, it was driving me insane (or worse than I was before anyway) Anyone know about how this version of the song came about to be done the way it was. Quite different than the others version. and about 4 or 5 different groups did their own version of this song I guess, found that out after I looked it up.

i was pretty young but I remember I liked the melody of it. and thats all I remember. I just happened to hear another song that reminded me of the melody. I was a kid in the 80s and unfortunately it was prob. the mid to late 80s the last time I heard it.

there was a song that the local oldies station played a lot back in the 80s but now they never play it. It was a song that a man and a woman did, the man sang the lyrics right after the woman would speak them. As I remember it, it was a mistake in the first place. the man was suposed to be the only one on the song. He forgot the lyrics and the woman had to read them to him. Her voice got picked up on the mic. and recorded. the producers liked it and it stuck. I dont know who the artist was, the name of the song, or any of the lyrics. I know its a long shot but if anyone has any idea what it could be I'd appreciate it.
