  1. Have any of you seen the show on Lifetime called "How To Look Good Naked"...well it has women who aren't comfortable with their bodies and by the end of the show they are and realize they are beautiful. Yes they get a makeover, but no plastic surgery or anything like that is involved. Women just learning how to work with their bodies and become the beautiful woman they have always been inside.

  2. The video...finally!!

Enjoy and think of great summer fun!

    Girls in Their Summer Clothes

Well, the streetlights shine down on Blessing Avenue

Lovers they walk by, holding hands two by two

A breeze crosses the porch, bicycle spokes spin 'round

My jackets on, I'm out the door

And tonight I'm gonna burn this town down

The girls in their summer clothes

In the cool of the evening light

The girls in their summer clothes, pass me by

    A kids rubber ball smacks

Off the gutter 'neath the lamp light

    Big bank clock chimes

Off go the sleepy front porch lights

Downtown the stores alight as the evening's underway

    Things been a little tight

But I know their gonna turn my way

And the girls in their summer clothes

In the cool of the evening light

The girls in their summer clothes, pass me by

Frankie's diner, an old friend on the edge of town

    The neon sign spinning round

Like a cross over the lost and found

The fluorescent lights flick over Pop's Grill

Shaniqua brings the coffee and asks "Fill?" and says "Penny for your thoughts now my boy, Bill"

She went away, she cut me like a knife

Hello beautiful thing, maybe you could save my life

In just a glance, down here on magic street

    Loves a fool's dance

And I ain't got much sense, but I still got my feet

The girls in their summer clothes

In the cool of the evening light

The girls in their summer clothes, pass me by

The girls in their summer clothes

In the cool of the evening light

The girls in their summer clothes, pass me by

  3. ELO takes me back to high school days. I loved their songs and Jeff Lynne is a talent that I think gets over looked. My cousin would always want ELO albums when we did our Christmas exchange, we would hope we would get each others name so we would get albums. Then we would share the albums. He saw ELO twice in concert and said it was one of the most coolest concerts he has ever been to, still says that today. Great group!

  4. I feel candidates using songs is fine as long as the artist is cool with them using the song, and most times the artist is backing that canidate. Does it make me any more impressed with the candidate? God no! They have a campaign song, so what...concentrate on the issues at hand please, your pick of song shouldn't get you more votes. And the song should fit the candidate. And if Hillary is using American Girl, oh please stop!! Elton John's "The Bitch is Back" would be a better fit.

  5. Bruce Springsteen and the E Street Band are still on the road heavily supporting the Magic album, and meanwhile, iTunes customers can get a hold of an exclusive "Girls In Their Summer Clothes" bundle starting today. The iTunes release marks the premiere of the "Girls In Their Summer Clothes" video and also includes a "Winter Mix" of the song and a live rendition. Directed by Mark Pellington ("Lonesome Day," Pearl Jam's "Jeremy"), the video was shot in Ocean Grove and Asbury Park, NJ.

In other news, the group's extensive tour schedule for 2008 has been set. They will travel North America through the end of April and then head to Europe before coming back for three shows in East Rutherford, NJ on July 27, 28 and 31.

  6. To me, common sense would be ok your getting stoned, which is cool and I do, but don't put your ass behind the wheel of a car, same applies to drinking. My friends and I can have a great time partyin' but we use common sense. And that is why you party at someone's house who has quite a bit of room for everyone to crash. People who don't use common sense are just stupid in my opinion.

  7. Yes I agree it should be legal, it would so lose it's appeal for the most part. I mean we all want what we can't have, and I think it would be good to have it legal in the States.

But I do know of a girl when I was in high school that died due to pot. She was in a car with her boyfriend and they were getting stoned and he was driving to fast and just out there and hit a tree, killing her and banging him up pretty bad. So all drugs and booze to excess can be harmful if you aren't using common sense.

  8. ....why are some people so sleazy? They just have no shame, no self-esteem and no morals.

It's scary how many people in todays world are sleazy, and it gets very frightening when it is someone you thought was a friend.

Good luck with your car, hope all gets taken care of, car problems are most always a major pain. :P

  9. What Makes Classic Rock Classic?

Is it the artist? Not automatically. While a group or artist may have released rock albums in the '70s, there’s no automatic guarantee that everything they ever recorded, or will record, is automatically classic.

Is it radio airplay and record sales? Not exclusively. In 1979, The Knack had the top-selling single of the year, My Sharona, from an album that went platinum in less than two months. After two more albums that were received far less enthusiastically, the group disbanded in the early 80s.

Is it a particular musical style or lyric theme? Not so much. Led Zeppelin and The Beatles both recorded classic rock albums, but they hardly performed the same kind of music, or had the same musical style. Courtesy of About.com

So I guess it depends on many different things that determine classic rock. And I feel if a song has some airplay, even a little it is classic rock, just my thought.
