Loggins & Messina -- Same Old Wine
L & M didn't usually get overtly political, but they did here. Fine song.
Roger Hodgson was one of the lead singers of Supertramp, but his solo work was outstanding! -- In Jeopardy
And finally, you can hear the Texas in Toby Beau's Westbound Train

If you had posted it you'd have posted my youtube. It wasn't there, so about a year ago I made it. I've loved that song 1970 or so, and very few people know it. Great song huh??
It's an outstanding song! And you're right, I would have posted your YouTube because that's the one I've been listening to since August of last year!

I don't know if we've posted my favorite Captain Beyond song:
And this one hasn't been posted here:
From A Dry Camel - Dust
I'm surprised I hadn't posted "From a Dry Camel." Good stuff, Lucky!

This was my first thought, though I'm surprised it's not older than '95.
Perhaps "Life Is a Highway" by Tom Cochrane
How 'bout this steamin' pile of crap from 1995?...C'Mon N' Ride It (The Train) - Quad City DJ's

Thanks for that. I was originally registered as "umpire" and asked the question. Love the song, but could never find the lyrics. I finally got a copy of the song and transcribed them myself.

We had a lot of shouted responses to "American Pie." Mostly these were about midnight in a bar, so you can imagine the intelligence that went into these responses.
* We sang the "lost in space" part like on the old TV show of the same name.
* After the line "This'll be the day that I die," we responded "drinking with my dumb-@ss friends."
* After the lines" I met a girl who sang the blues/ And I asked her for some happy news/ But she just smiled and turned away," we would respond with "What a B!tch!"

"Mr. Crowley" Ozzy Osbourne
"Devil Woman" Cliff Richard
"I'm Partial to Your Abracadabra" Ian Dury and the Blockheads

Paice Ashton Lord--Remember the Good Times
Tony Ashton couldn't sing for beans, but Bernie Marsden sounds good, and the funk in this one rocks!

One of the first singles put out by ELO after the name and personnel change from The Move.

Lucky,
I found it when a friend sent me the following link I think you'll enjoy:
It's a site with short clips of KSHE Classics. It's pretty extensive. he said it might take me years to find the song, but I found it in about 10 seconds.
-
I finally found it!
The song is, oddly enough, "Slipstream," a solo effort by Hollies lead singer Allan Clarke. It's a song on his 1979 album Legendary Heroes. Made it to #70 on the charts.
We were together then,
But that was long ago.
Now I listen to the wind
As it cries to me in vain.
She's uptown now
And moving on again.
Caught in a slipstream,
Moving to a bad dream.
I wasn't ready for the jet lag,
The worst trip I ever had.
-
Gad, it's horrible.
*LOL* I said it was different!
-
-
Won't say it's better, but it is definitely different and gives the song a whole new feel:
