  1. Close-ish. The Rolling Stones is correct. Bob Dylan is right, but just not in the right place. Led Zeppelin, New York Dolls, and The beatles aren't on there though. 1. The Rolling Stones 2. ... 3. ... (I nominated a cover done by this band in the last top ten) 4. ... (Hmm, a male who worked by himself, but also with a band with the initials CH) 5. ... (A psychedelic rock band) Those clues are pretty obvious, I think
  2. Hmmm, I don't think anyone would be able to get mine, and I'm not too sure myself either!
  3. Yeah, I think it's exactly the same song, just with different lyrics. I love the School Day lyrics 'cause it's exactly how I feel!
  4. 1. School Day - Chuck Berry 2. Happy Christmas (War Is Over) - John Lennon 3. Barbara Ann - The Who 4. Crossroads - Cream 5. Dance Little Sister - The Rolling Stones 6. Sister Morphine - Marianne Faithfull 7. One More Night - Bob Dylan 8. I'd Much Rather Be With The Boys - The Rolling Stones 9. Subdivisions - Rush 10. Victoria - The Kinks
  5. Salt Of The Earth - The Rolling Stones with Axl and Izzy from Guns N Roses.
  6. I just had a look at The Beach Boys version of Barbara Ann, but I'll keep my nomination as The Who's version because I like Keith Moon singing. Here is a link to The Who performing Barbara Ann on "The Kid's Are Alright," after only a few minutes rehearsal. And here is my other nomination, School Day by Chuck Berry. He's mimeing though.
  7. I was always interested in song meanings and I thought there must be a website for it. So I googled song meanings, and there were a few options, but Song Facts was definately the best! It took me a while to register and figure out how to use it.
  8. Yes I really love Since I've Been Loving You. One of my favourite Led Zeppelin songs.
  9. Yeah, I've tried to listen to The Beach Boys version on Youtube, but my computer is being super slow today and I couldn't stand waiting for it to load. Maybe I'll try again now.
  10. They also sort of played it on the movie, "The Kid's Are Alright"
  11. School Day - Chuck Berry Barbara Ann - The Who (I have to nominate the cover by The Who because I haven't actually heard the original or any of the other covers, eg. The Beach Boys!)
  12. Yep, I love the Rolling Stones so insanely much! And Keith Richards is God I like your avatar and signature too!
  13. I did have a Zeppelin phase (when I made my songfacts account), but it has officially gone now.
  14. Finally Bob Dylan got number one!!! About time! He's a legend. Good to see Redemption Song at number two as well.
  15. 1. Tuesday's Gone - Lynyrd Skynyrd 2. Redemption Song - Bob Marley 3. Knockin' On Heavens Door - Guns N Roses 4. It's All Over Now, Baby Blue - Bob Dylan 5. 19. Have a Merry Christmas and a fantastic New Year's Darryl! And come back soon! We will miss you!
  20. I got your joke Darryl, I just wasn't in a typing sort of mood when I read it. It was good though I was in a Led Zeppelin kind of mood when I voted. Now I am more in a Rolling Stones mood than Led Zeppelin, but oh well
  21. Cool. 1. Whole Lotta Love - Led Zeppelin 2. Little Red Rooster - The Rolling Stones 3. Come Together - The Beatles 4. Perfect Day - Lou Reed 5. Old Red Wine - The Who 6. Dancing In The Moonlight - King Harvest 7. Blister In The Sun - Violent Femmes 8. Bennie And The Jets - Elton John 9. Wild Wild Life - Talking Heads 10. 22. My favourites (although I don't really know if they are classified as carols) are: And So This Is Christmas by John Lennon A Fairytale Of New York by The Pogues.
