No, the animosity will NOT vanish. That's what I've been trying to say. Believing that it will just "blow over" is shortsighted and a terrible idea. This has "blown over" several times, yet I still find Kevin attacking me across the boards. If you don't see it, you need to look harder.

Isn't that just as likely if you let the opposite happen? Telling people in the middle of an argument to just go about their way lets them justify themselves, and the problem never goes away. At least with kids, you can drag them away from each other or stop seeing them, but considering that this is a forum where other users with grudges will gladly seek out others in order to pick a fight, that sort of logic falls apart in minutes.

Why do the moderators here always believe that the best solution for everything is to break up things like this instead of let them play out? By stepping in the middle of everything, you're only ensuring that there are lingering grudges.
