  1. "Echoes" by Pink Floyd. 23 and a half minutes of perfection.
  2. I haven't seen as many big name concerts as I would like. I have seen a LOT of celtic bands, but I don't know if anyone here knows enough celtic music to know what I'm talking about if I list them. I play celtic fiddle myself, so I love going to see great celtic music live. I saw Weird Al Yankovic live at the Puyallup Fair. Goofy, yes, but extremely fun. I saw Toby Keith at the Tacoma Dome in January of this year. That was a very good concert with lots of pyrotechnics. The best concert I've ever seen was Aerosmith, in February of this year, also at the T-Dome. Aerosmith is one of my favorite bands, and I was so excited to see these living legends, but I was also a bit apprehensive because I know Steven Tyler has his off days. I got lucky, because Steven didn't miss a note (even in Dream On! Wow!) and the entire band put on a performance that I'll never forget. Lenny Kravitz opened up for them. He did very good.
  3. My top 10 (Some of these can be interchangeable, but this is more or less the order): 10. Red Hot Chili Peppers 9. The Who 8. AC/DC 7. Aerosmith (best concert I've ever seen) 6. Bruce Springsteen 5. The Beatles 4. Pink Floyd 3. The Rolling Stones 2. The Doors (hence the screenname, get it?) 1. Led Zeppelin
  4. "Lust for Life" by Iggy Pop has been used for Carnival Cruise commercials. I believe that song is about heroin. That's some cruise!
  5. Thanks for the info! This seems like a great site.
  6. Stadium Arcadium is definitely the best album that RHCP has released since Blood Sugar Sex Magik. I actually thought that the opening riff to Dani California somewhat resembled Sweet Home Alabama's opening riff, but maybe I'm just crazy.
  7. I'd like to know some things about this site. I searched the internet for sites where I could discuss music with other musically-inclined people such as myself, and I stumbled across this site. I signed in, but then I kind of forgot that I did it. I'm pretty sure I never even posted. I was just wondering what this site is like. I've experienced a few other music forum's where people are just plain rude most of the time. Looking through some of the threads on this site it seems pretty friendly, but I don't know if the group is so tight-knit that it is hard to get involved. I'm also wondering about the age range. (I'm 16, I like mostly older music) So what's the deal? Is this what I'm looking for, or should I move on to look for something else?
