  1. I think you mean a more inebriated Sean Connery. I just assume Sean Connery exists at a constant baseline of inebriation.
  2. Here you go! http://upload.wikimedia.org/wikipedia/commons/2/2d/Sigur_ros.ogg
  3. I'm going to see Sigur Ros tomorrow!!!
  4. To be fair, I posted that before we got massacred.
  5. Unlike some schools, our student athletes are actually students (bracket based on team academic performance as tallied by the US Department of Education):
  6. 1. Because the Night - Bruce Springsteen & the E Street Band (1986) 2. A New Life - Jim James (2013) 3. Rockaway Beach - The Ramones (1977) 4. Blackened - Metallica (1988) 5. Judge, Jury and Executioner - Atoms for Peace (2013) 6. Money Honey - The Drifters (1953) 7. Pictures of You - The Cure (1989) 8. Woodpile, The - Frightened Rabbit (2013) 9. Hello Hurray - Alice Cooper (1973) 10. Fade Into You - Mazzy Star (1994)
  7. I mean, given their history in the tournament, you're probably right. But I can dream, can't I?
  8. The Irish are going to the Final Four! You heard it here first.
  9. Kenne, your Springsteen nomination does have an offical studio release. It's on The Promise, a collection of outtakes from the Darkness At The Edge of Town sessions released in 2010. That being said, I think live songs would be fine as long as they're on an official live album.
  10. Why are we talking about the NBA when March Madness starts tomorrow? NCAA basketball is so much more interesting.
  11. Love Is Lost - David Bowie Have I mentioned how good this new album is?
  12. It's less a pop album and more a neo-soul album. He's trying very hard to be D'Angelo.
  13. I really wanted to like it because he seems like such a good guy and he's a funny actor. And I feel like that's part of the reason it's getting all this critical acclaim. Unlike the vast majority of pop artists, JT is somebody who is easy to root for. I think this contributes, at least in part, to everybody treating this new album like it's "Thriller" when it's really "Invincible". As for the new BRMC album, I haven't listened to it yet, but I obviously will soon because they're awesome.
  14. I appear to be the only person in the world who doesn't like it.
  15. So I've been in kind of a Weird Al mood today and I learned that Ray Manzarek actually played on the Doors-pastiche "Craigslist". How cool is that?
  16. A New Life - Jim James (2013) Judge, Jury and Executioner - Atoms for Peace (2013) The Woodpile - Frightened Rabbit
  17. He really is hilarious, it will be an interesting change.
  18. Problem solved! Not to hijack the thread or anything, but what do the Daily Show fans here think about Jon taking three months off to direct a movie? And John Oliver taking over at the desk while he's gone?
  19. I had a hard time choosing between Jon Stewart and Stephen Colbert, but I guess I'll go with The Colbert Report for my third nomination.
  20. Most of their songs aren't worth reading too much into. They probably just thought it sounded good.
  21. Nobody writes catchier songs than They Might Be Giants. Nanobots is no exception. I love this band.
