  1. That's right...just a useless wonder!
  2. This just made me laugh outloud! That is all I'm saying!
  3. Farin, I took what Tim said as that it's ok because Stevie and Janis sound good but they aren't good musicians. But they are, Janis could write and play guitar, and Stevie...well she is a gifted musician. But I could've misunderstood his point, afterall what do I know anyway.
  4. Take off the Canadian part and you would fit right in here in Ohio-land!!
  5. Tim, I understand your point about "technically", but even artists that haven't been listed on this thread I still would not list as "technically" good. When I think of an artist falling into the "technically" category I would think of opera singers. Very fine tuned with years of technical training. That being said, Janis and Stevie have amazing voices that come from their soul and sound beautiful. A Women Left Lonely ~ Janis Has Anyone Ever Written Anything For You Both Stevie and Janis are great singers and good musicians. I would listen to them every hour of every day before I would listen to a "technically" good artist who felt nothing when they sang.
  6. Ray, will you marry me??? You are a man of many wisdoms! That's why I luv ya!
  7. Ray good choice going for the cleavage, that works great as does the thigh area...but I would save that for maybe the second date!
  8. Nothing against you johnnyguitar, but that song makes me cringe. Ever since I heard when it hit the airwaves...just can't listen to it. But thanks for the suggestion.
  9. I just read this thread, never managed to get around to it before now. I want to stand up for Janis, Stevie, and Tom Petty. I would never call them bad singers. Each one has a unique voice, and I don't mean that in a bad way. I would've never put them in this thread. But I know people who feel the same as some here that they aren't good. And them being famous has nothing to do with being popular, it has to do with amazing talent. Britney is famous because she is popular, not because she is talented. So bless Stevie, Janis, and Tom Petty for sharing their wonderful voices with us that love them!
  10. Oh I've been around chicks like that, but the funny thing is, we have a guy at work who wears so much cologne that I almost gag when he is near. It is so overbearing, and you can tell when he is in the building. It is bad!
  11. Thank you Lea, you are a sweetheart. I've just been out of sorts as of late, someone I care for has just kind of put me on the back burner so to speak. Guess I was just feeling a bit sorry for myself.
  12. And I bet you have a harem of chicks ready and willing to ice you up, huh Sammy!
  13. This will make the guys say OUCH!! You have to read it...you won't believe it!! Funny though!
  14. Rock supergroup Queen are set to return to South America for the first time since the death of frontman Freddie Mercury. The band performed historic shows on the continent during its heyday in the 1980s, and now group founders Brian May and Roger Taylor are heading back there with new singer Paul Rodgers as part of an extensive four-month world tour. The new-look Queen has recorded a new album, Cosmos, after fans applauded former Free star Rodgers' addition to the band, and now they're looking to return to some of the landmark arenas and stadiums where they once played for record-breaking crowds. The new dates come after Queen performed to more than a million fans with Rodgers on a 2007 tour of Europe, Japan and America. The arena tour will hit 14 countries in just seven weeks - and wrap up at the end of 2008 in South America. Queen's past Latin America shows set new world records for the numbers of the audiences it attracted. At the 1985 Rock In Rio concert the band played to an unheard of audience of 300,000. The gig was watched by nearly 200 million people throughout South America on TV. The new dates will begin with shows in Moscow, Russia in mid-September 2008. I still don't like this, you can't replace Freddie!
  15. Some of those are cool! I like the round one and the one that looks warped.
  16. Live in a Flying Saucer?? Check out this house a woman bought...strange!
  17. Give him the pot sentence...life sitting in the bathroom!
  18. It really doesn't make sense Kevin, just so strange...he acted as if he loves her but let her live that way???
  19. Update...boyfriend charged! NESS CITY, Kan. - A man whose girlfriend authorities say spent nearly two years in a bathroom in their house, sitting on the toilet so long that the seat adhered to her body, has been charged with mistreatment of a dependent adult. Kory McFarren, 37, was charged Monday in Ness County District Court. McFarren called the Ness County Sheriff’s Office in late February to say something was wrong with his girlfriend. When authorities arrived at the home, they found Pam Babcock, 35, stuck to the toilet, which they think she had sat on for about a month. McFarren told authorities that Babcock feared leaving the bathroom and may not have left it in two years, although said he was unsure how long she was in there. He said that he took her food and water daily, and that he repeatedly asked her to come out but that she usually replied “maybe tomorrow.†“The only thing I am guilty of is I didn’t get her help sooner,†McFarren told The Associated Press nearly a week ago. Ness County Attorney Craig Crosswhite said the mistreatment charge most closely fit the situation. “I looked at the statutes and spoke to the attorney general’s office,†he said. “This was a very unusual set of circumstances, and this is the law that most closely applied to the situation.†Authorities said Babcock sat on the toilet so long that open sores developed and caused her to become attached to the seat. Sheriff Bryan Whipple has said that he used a pry bar to remove the seat from the toilet, and that the woman was taken to the hospital with the seat still attached. “She would have to be sleeping on the toilet,†Whipple said. Doctors at a Wichita hospital where Babcock was taken told McFarren that an infection in her legs had damaged her nerves and could leave her in a wheelchair. She was still at the hospital Wednesday night. McFarren’s first court appearance will be in April, Crosswhite said. This is one of the most bizzares things I have read about in a while...wacky!
  20. Just a note, body lotions aren't as strong as perfumes, that's why I like them and if you use them after the bath or shower by the time you are dressed and set to go, there is just a faint scent...which is the best.
  21. Thanks bluesy....you always come up with some great tunes!
  22. I agree with you Laurie about the scented body lotions, you can use them throughout the day. Best to apply after a bath or shower all over your body and then use on your hands throughout the day. Not only do you smell nice, but your skin is getting soft and silky from the lotions. And who doesn't like silky soft skin??
  23. Thanks for the input everyone! Got my show all set for tomorrow, going to be fun.
  24. Of course they vote off the rocker chick I just read on the internet...this show just sucks! They'll pick a pop-tart or no talent wanna-be....AGAIN!!
