  1. Yeah she is really Australian, born in Victoria. I'm a big fan of hers, due to Roswell. Sad I know but I can't help it ::
  2. Hey guys, only just noticed this post. We haven't got this show in the UK yet i don't think, but is it the one with emilie de ravin in? I think she's playing a pregnant girl. I saw a trailer on the net ages ago and have been waiting for it ever since. Looks good
  3. Of course Freddie is legendary. However, I have to say Hansi Kürsch from Blind Guardian. One of the only men who can make high pitch wails sound incredibly manly. I envy his range
  4. Arms raised in a V The small dreaming child who wears the crown
  5. Seeing as Christmas is just an extension of the pagan holiday Yule, it's only right that pagans get to celebrate it. Not for the same reasons, but Yule was around centuries before anyone heard of Christianity. Agnostics and Atheists should celebrate christmas if they want. It seems to me that christmas is more about getting together with loved ones (and having time off work) more than anything these days. But that's just me.
  6. Just in case anyone was hoping to go and hasn't yet got tickets... They have now sold out. However, in response, Nightwish have booked another night at the Astoria to meet the demand. So they will be playing in london on the 19/02/05 as well. Hmmm... can i afford to go to both?
  7. Joe and I haven't played that one for years, I just remembered it the other day And i know what you mean with the whole "Solid Gold" thing. But the dream is gold and it's solid rather than solid gold... do you get what i mean?
  8. This is a song that I wrote with a friend about six years ago. It's kinda short, but went down well with the people we played it to back in the day. Wake me up when I am dreaming, I'm tired of all this laughing behind my back, All the hours I spent waiting for your view to come my way, I just don't know. So knock me down, take me there, Your gonna have to believe me anyway. It's all a dream, it's all my dream, my gold solid... Come with me, walk through my dream, Into my dream, my gold solid dream Take me to the place you're going, I've walked along these paths so many times All the hours I spent waiting for your view coming my way I just don't know So knock me down, take me there, Your gonna have to believe me anyway. It's all a dream, it's all my dream, my gold solid... Come with me, walk through my dream, Into my dream, my gold solid dream Come with me, walk through my dream, Into my dream, my gold solid dream. Not as impressive as i remember it, but with the music it's great. Honest
  9. 80's metal is what music is all about! There's nothing quite like it. But proper metal. And don't get me wrong, I love them, but does Bon Jovi really classify as metal? I always thought of them as rock. It's all about the Maiden's, the Metallica's (before they sold out), Mercyful Fate's etc. And to answer the main question... 80's metal's main merit is to remind us how good it used to be when we listen to the churned out rubbish that you get these days. That's my 2 penneth anyhow
  10. I sincerely hope that people are only downloading music to back up their hard copies they have already bought! Just like I do... all the time... honest! (BitTorrent is the way! Suprnova.org!)
  11. Well it had to happen at some point...
  12. Maybe not the best but certainly great; Melon Collie and the Infinite Sadness - Smashing Pumpkins And not a greatest hits either!
  13. Nice man, you've just summed up my feelings at the mo about my relationships Thanks
  14. Yeah but I never was a Beatles fan... Over-rated... Ok I've probably just alienated myself from over half the people here :: No offence meant people
  15. I'd never really heard much of the Polyphonic Spree, but as I type they are performing their version of Sgt. Pepper's Lonely Hearts Club Band live on tele. In my humble opinion... Better than the Beatles Version. Maybe it's just the sheer energy or the loud costumes but damn that was cool
  16. "Spin the black circle of beliefs" Pearl Jam + Slayer "Improper dancing in the dark" Electric Six + Bruce Springsteen "Sneaking Sally through the alley cat" Robert Palmer + Frank Zappa "High and dry ice" Radiohead + Green day
  17. I sort of came up with this in the Creative writing forum but someone suggested I post it in here. So, it would be really cool if there was a way people could put up samples of their music. Sort of like the creative writing forum, but it would be a way we could share the actual music as well. Just samples, maybe 30 seconds long (to stop people nicking your songs). I know it would take up a bucket load of server space so it's a tentative suggestion. maybe there's a way of keeping the memory down. All clips must be 56kbps or something... Just an idea anyway. What do you think? :guitar:
  18. Ok I'm surprised noones done this one yet... Black - Pearl Jam Black - Jesus and Mary Chain Black - Sarah McLachlan Black - Neurosis Black - Sevendust
  19. Song title; Alive Bands; Pearl Jam, Bee Gees Korn Oasis Jeff Buckley P.O.D. Ozzy Osbourne And probably some more as well
  20. I'd have to go with either Yngwie Malmsteen, Marty Friedman or Jason Becker...
  21. Awesome man, have you got music to go with that? It would make a brilliant song. :guitar:
  22. The best gig I've ever been to where Nightwish at the Astoria in London. It was on their first trip to the UK and they were so nervous but totally unprepared for the awesome response they got from the crowd. They rocked in a way I've never seen. Other than that, the best one has to be the Foo Fighters at Brixton... Brian May and Roger Taylor from Queen came on and played We Will Rock You with the Foo's. It was so amazing I couldn't believe it.
  23. Hey people, I just wanted to let you all know that Nightwish will be back in the UK in Febuary. If you haven't heard of them, you should. They're one of the best bands out there at the moment and after seeing them last time they were here I can't rave about it enough. They will be playing; London Astoria - 12/02/05 Birmingham Academy - 15/02/05 Manchester Academy - 18/02/05 Tickets on Ticketmaster. If you're not sure you'll enjoy it, I'd suggest going anyway. The atmosphere at the last one was immense. Have fun and I hope to see some of you guys there!
