Funny, but when we first started the Ten we nominated songs that didn't appear regularly in the Songfacts Daily/Weekly Top Tens; the same ones seemed to pop up there all the time, although there is a lot more variety now. Of course, it was never intended as a 'substitute' for those, but one in which we could interact. Brad had the first #1 in our Ten with 'My Sharona' and I could only sneak the immortal 'Runaway' into #9. (Where will that place in my 1955-63 Top 500 ?) We did suggest then "no obscure B sides or album tracks", but if people are happy that's fine. I don't want to listen to 25 songs I don't know each week though. How about a "recruiting" drive ? I know Joe is not too well, but where's Lucky, Pinkstones, RonJon, cyberjudge etc. ? Anyway, full credit to those who've kept it going. I will participate next week.
