  9. I watch it, retarded by one season here. So it is vital to avoid spoiler threads. So far, so good on that front. The concept, writing, acting and most of the production values are exceptionally good. The series has from time to time stumbled over and through its own plot lines, but overall the story is very compelling.
  10. Am I too late to wish Happy Birthday to Laurie? I brought my camera, if you will all group up over there by the sofa ...

  16. Ah, I see. Well, that was funny, Tim. And your follow up post here is even funnier.
  17. If you're referring to me, Tim, everyone is welcome on my lawn. Just need to expect open discussion based upon factual evidence and no condescension or dogmatic preconceptions are allowed. If those are your weapons of choice, you may have to leave.
  18. Heard about it. Didn't see it or 'Tube it. Don't care to see it. Not really surprised nor shocked it is on display on a big TV program. This kind of "dancing" has been a sixty-year progression from actual dancing to Beyonce's spasmodic humping. What I don't understand is how girls who feel that grinding like a 50's burlesque queen on the dance floor is somehow self-expression can then voice the complaint that all their date thinks about is sex. Duh.

  21. Thanks for the wishes. Retire? Hell, you have get tired first! I got steaks on the grill, beans in the pot and I'm ready to cook!
  22. Excellent rhythm and flow, Jane. Very clever in construction, as well. Don't think you need the "a" before fervor, which busts the well thought out three word sequence in the last line of each stanza. I know that seems picky, but this piece deserves the attention. It is truly special. Good to read you. (also, if mine, I might add "time's a culprit") clever line, that one
  23. Thank you all so much! Number 65 has truly been memorable for me and all the wishes from the fishes makes it all the more so. It all started when my Tuesday night poker group of about 10 fine, young men who I call "my boys" surprised me at midnight with "Happy Birthday" singing and a cake one of them baked. Then this morning I had just a tremendous amount of FB birthday wishes, which I replied to, taking up to lunch. Reading them made me realize that we never know when or how we impact the lives of others, so we must approach each contact with responsibility and caring. Then at lunch, my wife and her 2 grandsons made me feel absolute love and absolute fullness! Birthday Lunch Thanks again for your wishes and thanks even more for your friendship toward me and toward one another through this fine site.
