  2. His one minute in the movie "Knocked Up" drew the whole thing together. Writer, actor, producer and from what I read, a genuinely humble warm-hearted human being, his work was always fresh and funny. Had never seen "Analyse This" until last night on cable. It had me laughing out loud, as all his stuff did.

The future is little less enjoyable without him.

    4. It Continually sucks trying to watch the Olympics on tv and not find out the results beforehand!

    3. Hopefully, the commercials run during the Olympics will stop now too.

    2. If there's no cool story to go along with a particular event, NBC will just make sh*t up.

    1. Don't drink the brown water!

  5. Top 10 Excuses to Get Out of Doing Anything For Valentine's Day

    10. I took 2 Prozac in addition to my ex-lax. I can't get off the toilet, but I feel pretty good about it.

    9. "I'd like to take you out to dinner and stay the night while drinking wine and having sex until the wee hours of the morning but my hemorrhoids are flaring up again."

    8. "Since you say flowers are a waste of money and candy makes you fat, how 'bout we go through McDonald's drive-thru and come home and sit on our fat butts and watch the Olympics?"

    7. "Too dangerous to go out due to the blizzard"

  6. I learned several years ago that Temple was the producer's first choice to play Dorothy in The Wizard of Oz, but there were inter-studio problems getting her a contract. Judy Garland then auditioned among the 'replacements.' Thereafter, the two ladies' careers went in different directions. But their adult lives reflected the contrast in choices that they made as a result of those directions.

    RIP, Shirley.

  7. I guess that's a "No," Joe?

It might be a little early to just arbitrarily say it could never be as toxic. It could at some future time.

Recall that very few if any casualties happened in the beginning phases of Desert Freedom. And public (and Congressional) support did not suffer wane until after the 'Mission Accomplished' debacle. That coinsided with outside terrorist groups moved in to fill the void left by Saddam.

Obama seems to be striding toward his 'Mission Accomplished' debacle with this order that small to medium businesses must take an oath to satisfy the IRS.

  8. Much of the media has ignored the focal point of the troubled Obamacare start-up, the fact Obama had 'outsourced' the American Health Care Network to a Canadian company.

The ObamaCare systems no-bid contract was given to a company called CGI. CGI owns a subsidiary company called Silver Oak Solutions (SOS) which developed the PRISM system for the NSA.

I would really like to know how many back door connections are built into the ObamaCare systems so the NSA and PRISM can extract everyone's personal, financial and now medical data, in addition to all the other data they're collecting on all of America every day.

I fear the "glitches" and failures we've all been hearing about, aren't failures at all. They're intentional, to limit access so fewer people are able to see how much their premiums are going up until after the 2014 elections.

I fear also America is being manipulated and lied to...yet again, by our elected officials.

  9. Top Ten Activities During The Slowest 3 Weeks In Sports

    10. Pretend your driveway is your pit stall for the Daytona 500.

    9. Have sex with the chick three times. That should shut her up all the way through March Madness.

  10. This news this morning really hits me hard. Like most, I fell in love with the Everly Brothers' distinctly different sound the first time I heard it on the radio, as a boy. No one had ever interpreted youth-oriented lyrics with that kind of close harmonic certitude.

In the mid-80's, I worked at a small country music station and put together a retrospective Saturday afternoon two-hour show about the lives of the duo. I interviewed Phil live, over the phone, for a couple minutes in the middle of that show. He was so kind and gracious while being accessible to a nobody like me, that I followed his career closely the remainder of his life.

The duet's anthology album, "Roots" was the backbone for that afternoon's show and I highly recommend it to anyone interested in these two vanguard rockers who linked the genre's Country music foundations with its diverse future in the mid-1950's.

    RIP, my moment-in-time friend.

  11. Does anyone know of an effective, free, downloadable pop-up blocker that won't alter my existing brower, toolbar or add a bunch of unwanted garbage to my desktop? For some reason I have lately gotten this stupid "static.icmappp ...." pop-up on almost every click of my mouse. It is nuts!
