  1. Sorry, I'm an evil, ignorant chimpie, windy! :beady: (after all, I'm from Gary! : Though I guess hate is a strong word, and I know that a lotta St Louie people were givin the Cubs props last year (though I could almost hear the snickering when whatshisface interfered and the Cubs tanked--c'mon, be honest, windy, didn't you like that just a little, teeny-weeny bit?) But I've worked in St. Lou and like the people (but don't try to get me up on that arch thing--chimpie is dead afraid of heights! ). And, after all, windy, my man,(who was the first to greet me on this site--chimpie never forgets ), it is only a game! (Until the Cubbies and Cards play next season at least!) (And BTW, that Yogi quote is funny as hell. )
  2. Your wild as hell, jr And how did you know that there was a Booger on my block! (We need a gremlin with a finger up his nose for this occasion!) But Chimpie ain't my nickname in life--people most of the time call me Baby Cool (psych!!) No, what I was trying to get across was that for the purpose of this board, you don't have to sweat what you call me and I most certainly ain't gonna be offended if you call me by the name I'm callin myself. (Did someone say last call?!) Damn, now I lost my train of thought (and along about now, it's on a pretty short track : Peace to all you people Anonymous
  3. Yo, y'all, chimpie is cool, but I kinda like Mr. Evil :beady: My ma actually hung the chimpie on me when I was a little odd lookin thing, then I adopted chimpevil as my persona later on when I was a goofball in high school. :: But now I'm a good-lookin knockout (if you like em dark! ), so whatever you wanna call me don't phase me. :: :: ::
  4. Yeah, my roomies slammed me for not knowin that your sig was Morrison (duh!) And hell Moondance is one of my all time favorites! Sorry, HD. The Boss is o'course one of the all-time all timers (and the fact that he's pushing big for Kerry is excellente--not that I'm talkin politics or anything!)But hell as far as Neil goes, my uncle must be his #1 fan. He made me appreciate the power of his words--I'm a wannabe poet don't you know. Heck, when he babysat me, he didn't play Rock a Bye Baby or whatever, he played Cowgirl in the Sand :guitar: (To this day, the song makes me crave a juicy juice.) Damn I ramble on don't I? But I guess the bottom line is that, yeah, I like Neil, too. Be talkin to ya.
  5. My name is Tenacious Peaches. You may call me Peaches or TP. My turn-ons include long walks on the beach and men who aren't afraid to cry. My turn-offs include high carb foods and people who are mean to animals, especially the cute, furry ones.
  6. My man Lyle Lovett :guitar: in Black and Blue: "In 19 56 She was just a kiss In 1985 (note to me: use this for "85" too!) How could she come to this."
  7. By the way, Chimp, I'm only 14. So I don't see myself using "groovy" anytime in the near future.
  8. Up 2-0 looks good but from readin the history books they had the Mets dead to rights in '86, and good lord look what happened! But I think they broke the Curse by that freaking incredible comeback against the Steinies. And besides, I hate St Louis so bad that I am pulling for the Sox big time.
  9. Man I don't even like bananas--too stereotypical! Cape Breton is in Nova Scotia, right? I was actually in Halifax one time in my capacity as a famous model-- it was for a well-known outdoor gear outfit. I guess they thought they could go for the upscale "buppie" audience or whatever by using my mug (I looked good in the fishin gear I must admit tho the only fish I ever caught was Mrs. Paul's in the store!) Anyway, Halifax was a bit slow, but it was pretty and clean--a lot like Gary, Indiana I must say (yeah right!)(why am talikn like the Fresh Prince BTW?)--and my horizons were suitably expanded by the experience. :: :: ::
  10. Hey Thoreau! Let me tell you being young and hip is overrated (OK sometimes it's alright!), but you seem real and might I say fresh (and that's a good thing in my book.) I bet you have good musical taste too. So what do you like? (And, excuse my everloving ignorance but what song is your signature from?) Be talking to ya! ::
  11. Yo, Ali! Float like a butterfly sting like a bee and all that. My cousin went to Mich St on a b-ball scholarship. Didn't make the pros but gotta good edumacation though. Keep on rockin and rollin!
  12. Hey, anybody, is there a way to set this up so that the most recent replies to a post show up first? The only way I can view it now is first reply to last. Would 'preciate the
  13. Anything by eminem is pretty sad--wait you mean sad as in boo-hoo, not sad as in tired! For real, though, when I was 12 my father took me to see Patti Labelle in concert, and I think it might have been the best show I ever saw. Man, is she electrifying!!! Her version of Wind Beneath My Wings dedicated to her sister who had just died was pretty powerful (my Dad was actually weeping and he ain't no weeper believe me!) Others- Behind Blue Eyes-The Who Hendrix-If 6 Was 9 Hail Mary-Makaveli (the minor key running through it is devastating) I Will Always Love You-Whitney (unfortunately her life is even sadder) Angie-Stones
  14. Sorry, dude, I always thought mathers was pretty weak. His rhymes are almost comically bad at times and his beats are tired. Now, I most certainly ain't no rap fan (especially after Tupac died), and I don't profess to be an expert by any means, but can someone out there explain mathers' appeal? :: :: ::
  15. I never heard the version of Love Hurts that you refer to, Windy, but I think the original was done in the 50's, maybe by Roy Orbison??? I'll have to ask my uncle.
  16. Well, I'm a Cubs fan which means that I most definitely ain't a Cardinals fan, so I guess I'm down to hoping that the Sox won't gag again (yeah I know like the Cubs always do!)
  17. Hey y'all, welcome me to your site! I am a 25-year-old living in Chicago, originally from the mean streets of Gary, Indiana (yeah, the Jacksons were my neighbors-psych!) Anyway, people often think that because I am a hip-as-hell young black man that my musical knowledge is confined to rap. Well, as a matter of fact, I think that most rap is crap, and my musical knowledge is pretty deep. (My father is a working jazz musician and my uncle is an ex-hippie who introduced me to James Brown and Aretha, as well as Hendrix and The Who.) Well, enough about me. Let me know who I'm dealing with here. Not necessarily your life story ('less you want to) but tell me what music you like. (nice to meet you!)
