  1. Go ahead and draft , guys , I dropped out .I'm fine with just one team this season in points . The ghost team is a good idea ,Rocky , we've used it for football , but its a pretty long season to have to look after it , and a bit of a pain eventually ,imo . Good luck everyone !
  2. Can everyone get their draft choices ready by Sunday evening ? We should have a draft by the next day then and a day or two to look things over , and maybe get Ray set then ,if he needs it ? Monday if not then ? Don't worry Ray . Carl will join as soon as he gets the word to do so .
  3. Top Ten Reasons To Still Fear Osama Bin Laden 10. His ghost was recently seen at an Old Navy. 9. The killing of Osama won't serve as a deterrent to other enemies because they don't fear our president. 8. He's being reincarnated into small American children. (see pic below) 7. It just seems like, these days, everybody's wearing a turban and a beard. 6. His legacy left behind an Afghan religious cult devoted to destroy America. 5. His 4 wives and 26 kids'll all be writin' books. 4. Religious fanatics have been around for centuries. 3. Because they didn't ,in fact, get 'him' , but perhaps a body-double . Demand a Warren Commission -type thing, and have them lay out the proof. Photos and all . Your tax money , after all . 2. 1.
  4. We have a little situation in the points league . who is the team 'If you knew sushi ' (I think it's Phil now ) ? You have accidentally been made commish .lol Please PT Rocky Raccoon and transfer over the job to him . He ,or I can help you do it if you aren't sure what to do . You want to go to Commish tools for starters and then look for transfer option .
  5. Well , hop in then MC since it seems you are gonna try to play it out . There's a spot left still ,I think , and we are first in , first served always . You are already in points , right ?
  6. Of course you can play ,Ray , and welcome .Looks like we just need Carl now for the even number of teams ( for head to head ) and we are set . Anyone we have left out ?

  8. I see the first game is the 28th of this month , so we gotta get a move on this week ,I think ; set draft picks , get everyone -or at least enough -in, etc.and have a draft by the weekend or thereabouts .Past history has been little to no trading at first , so no BIG rush if we leave it to a week today to call for a draft . Mind you , they do say it could take up to 2 days , so to not miss opening day , the sooner the better , but we've always had a draft within 24 hours in the past . Rocky , you may have to mail Carl directly (I've always had to ) as he gets busy and forgets . He always signs up , but needs a nudge just the same . Now where's that Joe ... ?
  9. I just remembered ,phil .You missed the draft date last year and didn't play points, so you may not have gotten an email . I think you can just go to the main page and type in the league name and password if you want to join . League # :126656 if you need it . (See above -1st post ) Rocky; if you are ready , join the points league too and I'll transfer over the commish job from the tools . You da man now . Maybe I'll set up Football this year instead .
  10. Yes , we generally gather in our neighborhoods and burn out the least desirable amongst ourselves , and then sell their children to Mexican drug cartels or organ freebooters ,if any survive . Little different culture ,perhaps . Then we don 18th century costume and waltz in the streets and then scream 'Happy New Year ! ' at 11:00 pm , while kissing the year's first found rat turd -just to celebrate our individuality- and then go out for ice cream . Some call it excessive , but it's just a bit of fun an tradition for us . Think Benjamin Franklin started it , but I'm not sure ... You guys don't do that ? This is what East Germany was warning you about ...
  11. Careful ;This doesn't mean the 'best ' ; just the top selling ; http://music.yahoo.com/blogs/chart-watch/chart-watch-extra-top-albums-last-10-years-181452729.html
  12. They are called 'Canada ' now ,I believe , though we can't nor never will be certain about how Quebec thinks about this ( as they tend to prefer not to think about anything , but rather be impulsive ...it's so much more ....ow you say ? ... French ) . I wouldn't at all be surprised if the origin didn't come from some back-water , displaced Cajuns seeking revenge on what they saw as British-like , snooty Northerners . Wouldn't take long to spread to drunken Irishmen then ...
  13. I hear ya ,Shawna .I looked it up on Amazon and the best offer they have is $150.00 for a few episodes each from over the 11 seasons (even 2-$300 bucks , tops, I would pay were they complete ) . That would not be at all bad if it was for a complete seasons set , as I must confess that these shows aren't cutting edge in comedy/entertainment anymore , nor would get a large production as the fan base may be limited .Rather , nostalgia -as well as good performances-make up the majority of the enjoyment , but as it isn't 'fresh' and we can't be young again (or in the times ) does limit their impact . Apparently Carol doesn't own the rights to the releases anymore , so they are nickle and diming people til the time comes to put out a decent set at a fair price . Paying way too much for such sets has been a disappointment for me in some cases for the same reasons: Hogan's Heroes ( same plot nearly every episode ) , All in the Family, Gunsmoke , Twilight Zone , Bonanza . That's not to say there aren't stand-out episodes , but for the majority ,it gets kinda down to a scene or line or two per episode, at best . Only Rocky and Bullwinkle still seem to really cut me up with sincere , timeless , laughs now ,oddly . Hence , let's pinch video cuts out there and 'stick it to the Man ' ! lol Here's a 'Tudball and Wiggans ' .

  17. A teaspoon of neutron star material weighs about 110 million tons. Lobster was so common in 18th-century Maine that it was used for fertilizer. In 19th-century Europe, oysters were the luxury food of the day, and lobster was considered a poor man's food. The day before January 1 is called Silvester in Germany. The holiday is named after pope Silvester I, who died 335 A.D. Typically, Germans will meet somewhere or gather together in their houses on Silvester, waiting until midnight to celebrate the new year. 19. Shawna ; this can't go on any longer .Either you put it out there for Roger and tell your fiance he's second best , or I WILL NOT perform this wedding . A gentleman deserves to know what he's getting into . P.S . That cheque was non-refundable .
  20. The answer to #5 is his old boots . Well done ,edna and Phil. That's very noble of you ,Sammy , but as this is just a bit of trivia with no scoring , nor prizes , etc . , maybe just chime in if people get stuck on some then ( or no one answers ) ? It's not a 'game' in the traditional sense -just a celebration of Stone's trivia -nothing more . Unless you've played it to death , you may get a challenge too at times . I don't care if people google or how they get their answers , it's just a bit of fun. I'm not setting any times on new questions either -just when I feel like it. 1. 22. Ok, here's the situation; a family member gave me the Rolling Stones version of Trivial Pursuit this past Christmas , and since all the questions are Stone's questions and I would whip all my acquaintances here , I thought I turn it into a game online for you guys . I'll put out questions and go ahead and fire off the answers as you find them -and hope Sammy doesn't get ALL of them . some are easy , some hard .Anyway let's give it a try : 1. What does the pie contain in the Stone's song 'Bitch ' ? 2.
